News | New BioShock from 2K studio Cloud Chamber announced

Today 2K  announces the existence of a new game in the BioShock series. Apart from the fact that the development is being done by the new studio Cloud Chamber, few details are known.

Cloud Chamber has offices in Montreal, Canada and California, United States and is led by Kelley Gilmore, who previously worked on Civilization games and Xcom: Enemy Unknown and Xcom 2. 2K President David Ismailer said the following about the new game: “BioShock is one of the most beloved, award-winning and top-rated series of the previous console generation. We can’t wait to see in which direction the powerful story and unmistakable first-person-shooter gameplay are headed by our new studio team from Cloud Chamber. “

No details about the new BioShock have been shared. It is therefore not clear whether the game is set at an existing location from the series, such as Rapture or Columbia, or whether a completely new setting has been chosen.

In April rumors about a new BioShock and a new studio appeared. According to reports from Kotaku, the game is codenamed ‘Parkside’. Last month, a number of clues about a new part also appeared in the franchise. Take-Two, for example, reported during a financial presentation that “prosecution of our biggest game franchises” were coming. There was also a vacancy for a developer who could form the endgame of an unannounced game focused on “live services”. Possibly this means that the game will get a similar set-up at some point as Borderlands 3, Destiny 2 or other ‘live’ games.

In an interview Gilmore from Cloud Chamber announced that the new BioShock will “be in development for several years”. Chances are that the game will appear in 2021 at the earliest and is under development for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett.

News | The Division 2 gets a winter wonder update

The Division 2 gets a winter update that adds snowballs and Christmas hats to the lootshooter.

Things can get tough in The Division 2, but Christmas will be celebrated in Washington D.C. Ubisoft has announced that there’s a winter update on the way for the game. In addition, a new weapon is introduced called The Sleigher, which is more or less a grenade launcher. However, this gun does not use grenades but snowballs.

A new, extremely difficult game mode is added to the apocalyptic game called Permadeath. This mode is intended for seasoned Division 2 players, the fact is that when players die in this mode, they immediately lose all shoots and progression and can start again. In addition, players cannot use the Stash in Permadeath mode.

Everyone who plays the new mode is placed in the same server. This way it is as fair as possible and players are more likely to survive. Players who manage to reach level 2 are rewarded with a special YOLO hat. However, the developer indicates that mode is not yet perfect and that it’s still being worked on.

“A lot still needs to be done, but the developers are convinced that the mode adds something to the game, which is why we are already releasing the beta version. Not everything that the developers had in mind was already incorporated in the beta, moreover there are more plans that have not yet been added, “reports the team of The Division 2.

The update can be downloaded from December 10, click here for all details.

The website claims to have learned this from an anonymous source within the publisher. The game was to be announced in 2020, but should only appear in 2022. Focus Home has neither confirmed nor denied the rumor against Eurogamer.

The game takes place in France in the year 1349, when the country is plagued by the Black Death. Amicia must protect her younger brother Hugo, while the two are being chased by the Inquisition and trying to survive in the ruthless world. Hugo also suffers from a mysterious illness.

In our review we  gave the first game a 9.0 and wrote: “Although A Plague Tale: knows Innocence clichés, it is the sum of credible characters, a great soundtrack and an atmospheric setting that turn the whole into a convincing and compelling adventure. If you are a lover of single player experiences, you cannot let this pass you by. “

A Plague Tale: Innocence appeared for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 last spring.

News | Sequel on Marvel's Spider-Man may come out in 2021

A sequel to Marvel's Spider-Man could come out in 2021, according to the presenter of the Kinda Funny Gamecast.

In addition to being the presenter of the Kinda Funny Gamecast, Imran Khan is the former senior editor of Game Informer. In the most recent episode he reports that he thinks the game will be released around Christmas 2021. “I know too much about this subject, so I can’t speculate too much. I think Spider-Man 2 is coming faster than we think.”

Khan thinks that the fact that Sony used the first Spider-Man to demonstrate the PlayStation 5 is also a sign on the wall. Earlier this year, Sony compared the PS4 and PS5 through that game. With this, the company demonstrated how fast games are loaded on the upcoming console.

Sony has not officially announced anything yet. The first Spider-Man appeared on PlayStation 4 last year and was developed by Insomniac Games. The developer is now part of Sony.
