News | Trailer Assassin's Creed Valhalla revealed

Ubisoft has shown the first cinematic trailer for Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Details and screenshots have also been shared.

In the trailer we see more of the Viking theme that was revealed in a live stream yesterday. We also see action-packed battles in England, which was also hinted in the artwork of Bosslogic.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla stars as the fighting boss Eivor, the leader of a group of Normans expelled from Norway. The clan comes into battle with the Saxons, led by King Aelfred of Wessex. Set in the ninth century, the game features Scandinavia, Norway and England as playable locations.

Valhalla remains a single player game and introduces new features, including the ability to build settlements of your own and gain power and influence. Also, players can now use a different weapon in each hand. Just like in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, it is also possible to play as a female character.

The trailer shows that the game is coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X. It has since been confirmed on Twitter that the game is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Google Stadia. On PC, the game is exclusive to the Epic Games Store and the Uplay Store. Four editions of the game have been announced: the standard edition, the Gold edition including Season Pass, the Ultimate edition with Season Pass and additional in-game items and the Collector’s Edition with a 30cm statue, steelbook and other extras.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be released late this year. A specific release date is not yet known.

News | Sea of Thieves April Update Released

The April update from Sea of Thieves has been released. In the update, among other things, cats have finally been added to the game.

Sea of Thieves’ April update, Ships of Fortune, is the biggest update to the game yet. In addition to the cats, with matching outfits, Tall Tale has added many more new things like increased level caps, new ways to earn gold and reputation, a new revive system and more PvP action.

Starting today, players will also be able to join their favorite traders, making them an Emissary (emissary) for Gold Hoarders, Merchant’s Guild, Athena’s Fortune, or the Order Of Souls. Traders can use their trader-loot to earn money and reputation. The level cap for each of those factions has also been increased to 75. In addition, it is also possible to earn cosmetic attributes for a faction. For more information about Emissary’s, players can visit the Outpost and speak to the representative of the faction they are attending want to join. Keep in mind that it will cost a lot of knack.

As mentioned, a PvP faction has also been added, Reaper’s Bones. Instead of a player becoming an Emissary for a faction, they have to hunt Emissaries and earn gold and reputation. These Reapers simply appear on the map on the ship like all other Reaper flags.

News | Xbox Series X logo may have been revealed

Xbox has applied for a trademark for the Xbox Series X logo. It's not yet certain whether this is the official logo.

Microsoft filed a trademark application for the Xbox Series X in mid-April, including a logo for the new console. The logo consists of a stylized X and the word “Series”. Reddit users first discovered the trademark application.

The application also included a huge list for which this logo could be used, including on game consoles, controllers, posters, bags, mugs and clothing. Microsoft has written down a large amount of products so that they can use the logo for different purposes. This logo may appear on the packaging of the next-gen Xbox. However, it is not certain that this will be the final logo. Companies often submit multiple versions of logos that are not used.

News | Sony applies patent for a robot companion

Sony has applied for a patent for a robot that accompanies players during gaming and measures emotions.

According to the description of the patent, the robot has various functions, but mainly serves to offer a ‘joint experience’. The device could recognize different emotions, such as ‘pleasure’, ‘anger’, ‘love’ and ‘surprise’, and measure the heart rate and skin moisture of players,

The robot would even contain a ‘love index’ that measures the bond with the player, depending on how often he talks to the device. It is also intended to help maintain a favorable ‘living rhythm’, for example by suggesting players take a break. Finally, the robot would also be able to act as a second player in, for example, co-op games.

According to the patent, a VR version of the robot is also possible. The device would then be next to the players in virtual reality and watch the game.

Whether the robot actually goes into production remains to be seen. Companies like Sony regularly apply for a patent without using it.
