News | The second season of Multiversus starts tonight

The second season of Multiversus will start tonight at 19:00 Dutch time.

Although it has not yet been announced what new characters can be expected during the second season, the official patch notes have already been published (via VGC). This shows, among other things, that adjustments are being made to the balance between the fighters and the arenas, and that a new free and a new paid battle pass will be available.

The Battle Pass includes several unlockable skins, such as Baker Street Tom & Jerry (when reaching Tier 50 of the free battle pass), Astronaut Velma (Tier 1 of the paid battle pass), Tea Time Reindog (Tier 42 of the paid battle pass ) and Maestro Bugs Bunny (Tier 50 of paid battle pass).

There is also an in-game store coming to the game. For example, the Samurai Batman skin from the game’s closed alpha for sale will be listed there. The recently added Silly Queue, with which all kinds of modifiers can be used, also adds new elements.

News | Stripe from Gremlins is coming to Multiversus today

Today update 1.04 for Multiversus is released, which adds Stripe from Gremlins as a playable character.

It was already known that the character would come to Multiversus. You can also find a lot more about the content of this patch on the official website. For example, Halloween is celebrated for a month, where players can unlock virtual candy with battles.

The candy can then be spent in a special Candy Shop for two new skins, an emote and a profile icon. There are also various Halloween skins for sale for between 800 and 2000 Gleamiums. Below you can view some of those skins.

Multiversus is a Smash Bros.-style fighting game featuring various characters from Warner Bros. franchises. The game mainly focuses on 2v2 combat, but 1v1 and a four-player free-for-all mode is also available. Welcome to the Gotham Knights Trophy Guide! The game is set in the Batman universe but you play 4 different heroes: Batgirl, Red Hood, Nightwing, Robin. The trophy list doesn’t lock you into playing a specific character or playstyle. You can pick whoever you like best, there’s nothing missable and nothing to look out for. Your character level is shared between all 4 heroes so feel free to switch between them, you don’t have to stick to the same one. It’s best to play through the story first because it gradually unlocks side activities tied to trophies. Then do the side content and collectibles, then mop up what you have left, then start New Game+ to increase the level cap for reaching max level. It’s a pretty fun and easy platinum. Everything can be done on the lowest difficulty and completely offline solo. The Batcycle time trials are also very easy and quick. Enjoy the game any way you desire.

Step 1: Finish Main Story (6 Hours)

For the first step, simply finish the Main Story. This will make available various Side Activities, Side Quests (“Villain Cases”), Collectible Types, and Enemy Factions – all of which are tied to trophies. After the story you will have access to everything. Nothing is missable, you can do everything after the story in Free-Roam. The difficulty you pick doesn’t matter, can do everything on “Very Easy”. You don’t need to look out for anything. If you already want to work on side activities as they become available, refer to Step 2 for a list of all side content.

There are only 8 Main Missions, a story-focused playthrough takes about 6 hours including all cutscenes:

  1. Case 01: Batman’s Last Case
  2. Case 02: The Rabbit Hole
  3. Case 03: In the Shadows
  4. Case 04: The Masquerade
  5. Case 05: The Court of Owls
  6. Case 06: Jacob Kane
  7. Case 07: The League of Shadows
  8. Case 08: Head of the Demon

Step 2: Villain Cases (2 Hours), Side Activities (1-2 Hours), Collectibles (3 Hours)

After the story you will have access to all side content. Do all of the following:

Villain Cases (3 Total):

  • HQ01: Harley Quinn – trophy Get ReQ’d, trophy Working Hard or Harley Working?, trophy Universal Health Scare
  • FR01: Mr. Freeze – trophy To the Victor Go the Spoils, trophy Quartzer Life Crisis, trophy Snow Problem, trophy Cooldown
  • CF01: Clayface – trophy Something in the Clay, trophy The Show Mud Go On, trophy Rock and a Hard Place

Side Activities (40 Total):

  • 12 Secret Caches (Bruce Wayne’s Hidden Audio Recordings) – trophy Gotham City Confidential
  • 5 Secret Identity Compromised – trophy Solid Alibi
  • 7 Batcycle Time Trials – trophy Bat Out of Hell
  • 16 Training Arena Exercises – trophy Practice Makes Perfect

Collectibles (154 Total):

  • 60 Batarangs – trophy Batarang Collector
  • 42 Historia Strigidae Pages – trophy Read Owl About It
  • 12 Street Art (Murals) –  trophy Claiming the Mural High Ground
  • 40 Landmarks – trophy History Major

Step 3: Farm 250 Crimes, get Enemy-Specific Trophies, Craft Full Legendary Set (5 Hours)

At this point you will likely still need the 250 Crimes, crafting a full Legendary Set, some of the “kill specific enemy type a number of times”, and getting 50 modchips from mod fusions.

You can combine all of this nicely. Keep grinding out random crimes until you have the trophy for doing 250 total. Doing the white crimes (small crimes) counts for the 250 total. In the end-of-night results screen it will only show the number of red crimes you did, but don’t be fooled by it, the white crimes are much quicker to do and are confirmed to count for the trophy. From doing all the crimes you should also get your remaining enemy-specific trophies. They also drop lots of mods to use for mod fusions.
For the legendary crafting materials, the best way is to do “High Difficulty” Premeditated Crimes to find “Gotham’s Most Wanted” enemies, they are rare spawns that drop around 250+ legendary crafting materials. Then use the legendary materials to craft a suit, melee weapon, ranged weapon.

If you like, you can actually combine some of this step with the 4th step in New Game+, but be careful to get the trophies tied to endgame enemies out of the way first (10 Man-Bats, killing enemies from late-game enemy factions). Otherwise, you’d have to replay all of the story in NG+ to respawn those enemies. Once you start New Game+ there’s no way to go back to your 1st playthrough save, so be very sure you got everything you want before continuing with Step 4.

Step 4: New Game+ to reach Max Level (2-4 Hours)

In the first playthrough the level cap was 30. To reach Max Level (40) you have to start New Game+ from the Title Screen, available after finishing the main story for the first time on any difficulty. All your progress carries over. However, once you start, it overwrites your story progress from the 1st playthrough and there’s no way back. To get from Level 30 to Level 40 you can either farm crimes in the open world or replay half the story. It should only take about 2-4 hours if you skip cutscenes.

News | Joker voiced by Mark Hamill may be coming to Multiversus

Batman villain Joker, voiced by Mark Hamill, may be coming to Multiversus as a playable character.

Twitter user LaisulMV claims to have found an Announcer Pack for the game that contains multiple narrated dialogues from the Joker. He shares the audio files in the tweet below.

It is almost certain that the dialogue is voiced by Mark Hamill, best known for his role as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars films. He has regularly voiced the Joker in animated series and films since 1992. Hamill has even voiced the Joker in games before, namely in the Arkham games and in Lego DC Super-Villains. However, nothing has been officially confirmed as of yet.

As of last night, Rick, from the Rick & Morty cartoon series, is available as a playable character in Multiversus. Furthermore, Stripe from Gremlins and DC hero Black Adam are yet to be added. An earlier datamine also revealed unused dialogues for the characters Beetlejuice and the Wicked Witch from The Wizard of Oz.

The free-to-play game Multiversus came out in Early Access on July 19, and the first season kicked off on August 15. People can get a free and paid Battle Pass for the game, which can unlock all kinds of cosmetic items for characters.

Multiversus is a Smash Bros.-style fighting game featuring various characters from Warner Bros. franchises. The game mainly focuses on 2v2 combat, but 1v1 and a four-player free-for-all mode is also available. The game is playable on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Xbox consoles, including cross-play.

News | Hogwarts Legacy Exclusive PlayStation Mission Shown

A new Hogwarts Legacy trailer that aired during the State of Play showcases a PlayStation exclusive mission from the game.

It was already known that the game was getting an exclusive mission on PlayStation. The mission is called ‘The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop’ and revolves around a mysterious shop owned by Madan Mason in Hogsmeade. According to the description, the exclusive mission also includes an extra dungeon, a cosmetic set and a shop.

In Hogwarts Legacy, players control a fifth-year Hogwarts student. They explore the school and the world around it, learn spells, brew magic potions and fly on a broomstick. The game is set around 1800, so characters from the books and movies are few and far between, except for some cameos.

Hogwarts Legacy will be released on February 10, 2023 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and PC. The Switch version will be released at a later date.

News | Hogwarts Legacy Common Areas Shown

Avalanche Software and Warner Bros. show the common areas of the Hogwarts wards in a series of videos. It has also been announced which extras Harry Potter Club members can recieve.

Every department at Hogwarts has a common room where students can relax before or after their classes. In a series of new videos, a player walks through the spaces, each portraying the colors and some other signature aspects of their department.

Gryffindor’s room is shrouded in red and can be found at the top of the castle. This room was frequently shown in the Harry Potter films, although the game variant, which takes place over a hundred years before the films, does look quite different. The Slytherin common room sits just below the castle and contains some windows that overlook the Great Lake.

Notable for Harry Potter fans are the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw spaces. After all, the movies followed Gryffindor students (who did take a trip to Slytherin’s space), meaning the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw common areas are now on display for the first time.

Hufflepuff’s space can be found behind the school’s kitchen and is overgrown with plants. Ravenclaw’s room is at the top of the castle in a tower, behind a statue of an eagle.

we’ll learn more about the rewards Harry Potter Club members will receive in Hogwarts Legacy. Fans have long been able to find out through questionnaires which department of Hogwarts and which wand would be suitable for them, and that information can be loaded into Hogwarts Legacy. Members also receive cosmetic items: a Beaked Skullmask and a ‘Fanatic’ robe for each department.

It is also revealed that a sidequest is in the game that will take players to some ruins based on an attraction in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando. Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure attraction.

Hogwarts Legacy releases on February 10 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The game will also be coming to Nintendo Switch at a later date.

News | Hogwarts Legacy Has Exclusive Mission On PlayStation Consoles

On PlayStation consoles, Hogwarts Legacy players can complete an exclusive mission.

Chandler Wood, the community manager of developer Avalanche Games, has confirmed this. “The PlayStation exclusive mission is playable through any PlayStation version of the game. It is independent of pre-orders.” The content of the mission is as yet unknown, but more details should follow shortly.

Incidentally, people who pre-order the game – regardless of which platform – will receive the in-game recipe for the Felix Felicis potion. In the Harry Potter universe, that momentarily gives the person who drinks it good luck.

In Hogwarts Legacy, players control a fifth-year Hogwarts student. They explore the school and the world around it, learn spells, brew magic potions and fly on a broomstick. The game is set around 1800, so characters from the books and movies are few and far between, except for some cameos.

Hogwarts Legacy was long slated for release around this holiday season, but was delayed to February 10, 2023 earlier this month for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and PC. The date of the Nintendo Switch version is not yet known. “The team can’t wait for you to play the game, but we need a little more time to deliver the best experience possible,” Warner Bros. reported. when the game was delayed.

News | Gotham Knights skill tree highlighted

A new video from Gotham Knights highlights the use of the skill tree in the game.

IGN’s extended video shows two different builds of Red Hood, one of four playable characters in the game. This gives viewers a good idea of how diverse characters can be depending on how players use the skill tree. The video shows both a Brawler and Marksman build of Red Hood.

In Gotham Knights, players take on the role of Robin and Batgirl, shortly after the death of an important figure in Gotham. The game should have a “dynamic and interactive” open world that will house famous villains such as the Court of Owls.

The game is being developed by Warner Bros. Games Montreal, led by creative director Patrick Redding, who previously directed Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Splinter Cell: Conviction.

Gotham Knights is out October 25 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. Initially, the game was also supposed to come to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but that version has been canceled.
