Apex Legends and Post Malone join forces for an in-game event.
The artist-starring event adds a new limited-time mode and cosmetic items to the game. The new mode is called Three Strikes. In the mode, players compete in teams of three. When a team dies, it gets two more chances to survive. Players who are down cannot be shot and players can revive each other much faster than in the regular modes.
The cosmetic items were all designed in collaboration with Post Malone. For example, they are based on clothes that the artist has worn in his music videos. To be clear: Post Malone himself is not added as a character to the game.
The in-game event starts on November 7 and lasts until November 21.

Developer Maxis has released a new video about Project Rene, the new The Sims game in development.
Among other things, the video showcases new lighting techniques that allow for “massively customizable spaces to be created and players to tell emotionally resonant stories.” Animation should also feel natural – players should only be able to tell how they feel through the behavior and attitudes of their Sims.
Maxis wants to ditch the usual bubbles and UI from previous Sims games and see “how little we can get away with”. The emphasis is therefore on “clear, playful and simple images”. The balance between too much and too little information is sought.
Furthermore, the video also covers some prototypes for neighborhoods where Sims can roam and adjust hair color. The video can be viewed below.

Electronic Arts has published a new narrative trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
“The dark times approach as Cal Kestis seeks a safe haven far from the Empire’s reach,” reads the description. “Follow Cal and his crew’s increasingly hopeless battle as the galaxy continues to plunge into darkness.”
Developed by Respawn Entertainment, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set five years after the events of the first installment, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. As mentioned, Cal Kestis plays the leading role again.
The game will be released on April 28 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S.

The first gameplay of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was shown at The Game Awards.
The release date was also confirmed: the game will be released on March 17, 2023. The trailer shows a slightly older version of main character Cal Kestis as he tries to escape from the clutches of the Empire.

News | EA Motive Studio is officially working on an Iron Man game
EA development studio Motive Studio is working on a game based on Marvel hero Iron Man.
That was announced yesterday. It’s the first of “multiple Marvel games” in development at EA, though it’s unclear what other games will be made. Development of the Iron Man game is led by Olivier Proulx, who previously worked on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy for Eidos Montreal. Motive Studio is also working on the Dead Space remake.
There are not many details about the Iron Man game yet, but it is clear that it will be a single player game with a third person view. The game is currently in pre-production. Images of the game have not yet been released. It is also not clear on which systems the game should appear.
