News | EA may also be working on an Iron Man game

Electronic Arts would not only be working on a game around Black Panther, but also make a game about Marvel hero Iron Man.

Journalist Jeff Grubb reports during the Giant Bomb Game Mess Mornings stream that the publisher is “making another Marvel game with a single-player focus.” Journalist Tom Henderson responded that he has heard rumors that it is an Iron Man game. Henderson does warn that he is not sure how much the rumor can be trusted.

Grubb recently shared that he had heard that EA is also working on a single-player game around Black Panther. According to Grubb, the game, which is only just in development, starts when Black Panther dies, and players must prove themselves to become the new version of the hero.

The Black Panther game would be developed by a new EA studio in Seattle. It is unknown who is working on the possible Iron Man game. In any case, both games have not been officially announced as of yet.

Andrew Wilson, the CEO of EA, recently mentioned in a conversation with shareholders that single player games are still very important to the company.

Electronic Arts would be working on a game around Marvel hero Black Panther

Geoff Grubb states that during a Giant Bomb podcast. According to him, the game is just under development and it is a single player game that takes place in an open game world. According to Grubb, the game starts when Black Panther dies, and players must prove themselves to become the next Black Panther.

The game would be known internally as ‘Project Rainier’, based on Mount Rainier in Seattle, which is home to a new EA studio working on the game. The studio is already known to be headed by Kevin Stephens, the former boss of Monolith Productions, known for the Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor games. At that announcement, it was already said that the studio would focus on open world games.

News | Dragon Age 4 is officially called Dragon Age: Dreadwolf

The new Dragon Age game is officially called Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.

Developer Bioware announced this yesterday. There were already rumors yesterday afternoon that something related to Dragon Age would be announced and it turned out to be the name of the game.

Solas, the Dread Wolf, has an important role in the game. He also appeared in Inquisition. “Some say he is an ancient elf god, while others say he is a traitor to his people. In any case, his motives are inscrutable and his methods sometimes questionable, making him known as someone who plays dark and dangerous games.”

More information about the game can be expected sometime later this year. Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is expected to be released in 2023 on PC, Xbox Series X and S, and PlayStation 5.

News | EA Reveals Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

EA has announced Star Wars Jedi: Survivor in a trailer. The game is set to be released in 2023.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the direct sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The game takes place five years after the events of the first part, with Cal Kestis again in the lead role. Like the original, the sequel is being developed by Apex Legends and Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment. The trailer doesn’t reveal much about the story yet, but it does show two potential enemies of Kestis.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be released in 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. The exact release date is not yet known. The trailer can be viewed below.

News | Dead Space livestream will be held this Friday

This Friday at 7:00 PM Dutch time, EA Motive will hold a new developer livestream around the upcoming Dead Space.

“Motive invites you to a new installment in their series where they give an early look at development and what exactly the game’s remake is all about.” The livestream will be broadcast on Friday at 19:00 Dutch time via the YouTube video below.

The Dead Space remake should still tell the same story about Isaac Clarke who sits on a mining ship called the USG Ishimura and fights bizarre Necromorphs there while trying to find his girlfriend Nicole. However, more details should be given around the story compared to the original.

Gunner Wright, the actor who played Isaac in the previous Dead Space games, once again takes on the role of the character. In the original, Isaac was virtually silent, but that’s not the case in this new version of the game – although he won’t be constantly talking to himself on his own.

Earlier, EA Motive indicated that the entire game should feel seamless, without changing camera angles or loading screens during the game itself. Also, stripping Necromorphs of their limbs should again become an important part of the attack tactics, although the possibility to “peel off” the skins of these creatures has now been added.

Dead Space is set to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC at an as-yet-unknown date.

News | Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 to be revealed before E3

A possible sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is set to be revealed before E3 this year.

That’s what journalist Jeff Grubb claims during a recent Giant Bomb stream. The stream is behind a paywall, but the information was tweeted by Nibel. Since E3 is always remembered around June, the unveiling of the unannounced sequel could potentially happen sometime in the next five months. May is mentioned as a possible month. Grubb also claims the game could be released sometime later this year, but seems less certain about this.

There have been rumors of a sequel to Fallen Order for quite some time now. The first game was a huge success – more than ten million copies were sold in the first six months after release – and developer Respawn has already indicated that it would like to continue the story of that game. Publisher EA also called the game a “new franchise”.

EA and Respawn have revealed the first details surrounding the 11th season of Apex Legends, which kicks off on November 2.

News | Cross progression isn't coming to Apex Legends until next year

Cross progression isn't coming to Apex Legends until sometime next year.

Ryan K. Rigney of Apex Legends confirmed this in a question session on Reddit. Someone asked when to expect the promised cross-progression, which is why Rigney replied: “Next year. Cross-progression is a tough problem to solve. You not only have the technical challenge of merging existing accounts, but also the legal and contractual aspects of purchasing on other platforms to navigate. Different regions have different laws. It’s a mess. But we’re working on it and want to start delivering it.”

Cross-progress basically means that players can take their unlocked items and level progression to Apex Legends on another system. Respawn previously promised to add cross-progression, but as can be seen from the answer above, that still has some feet in the ground.

In the AMA, Respawn also admits that Seer, the new character in the game that launched last week with the new season of Emergence, may be a little too strong. The developer also indicated that a future patch should balance this slightly better.

News | New Dragon Age 4 concept art shared

BioWare has shared new concept art of the new upcoming Dragon Age game on Twitter.

Last week it was already confirmed that the game, like a new Mass Effect, will not be shown on EA Play Live later this month. Dragon Age producer Christian Dailey then tweeted that the team is working hard on the game, sharing the new artwork below.

The artwork shows the Antivan Crows, who apparently will play a major role in the new game. This group consists mainly of assassins, thieves and spies and first appeared in Dragon Age: Origins.

News | EA Motive may be working on a reboot of Dead Space series

The possible Dead Space game in development at EA Motive could be a reboot of the series.

Earlier this week, Gamesbeat’s Jeff Grubb reported that EA Motive would be announcing a new game during EA Play Live, and that it was the return of a well-known franchise. Grubb seemed to be hinting at Dead Space.

Gematsu now reports that it is not a sequel to the previous three Dead Space games, but a kind of reboot. However, there is no more information yet.

The original Dead Space games were developed by Visceral Games, which is no longer in existence. The EA Play Live stream will be available on July 22.
