The planned public beta of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has been cancelled.

Saber Interactive has announced this. “Space Marine 2 is almost ready. We are now fully focused on optimizing, finishing and solving the existing problems before release.”

Organizing a beta now would “distract the development teams from the full release.” However, there was understanding that this is “disappointing news for some of you”. To make up for it, everyone who signed up for the beta will receive a limited-edition Bolt Pistol skin when the game is released.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be released on September 9 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series Just like in the first part, players use all kinds of weapons and deadly moves to slaughter enemy Tyranids. The game can be played alone or with three people.

There is no exact release date at the time of writing, but it is clear that the game will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S.

The sequel to the 2011 action game based on the Warhammer universe lets players once again control Lieutenant Titus. Just like in the first part, players use a variety of weapons and deadly moves to slaughter enemy Tyranids. According to the makers, one can expect “epic battles on distant planets”.

Publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Auroch Digital have announced this. The game was previously announced and offers classic first-person shooter action similar to games like Doom, but in a Warhammer setting.

Players control a war-poised Space Marine who traverses the universe on a perilous mission to take on the Chaos Space Marines and Chaos Demons. With an extensive arsenal, players shoot their way through various levels.

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun releases May 23 on Stream, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

A new trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide has been released giving fans a taste of what's to come.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is set in the city of Tertium, where players take on the role of the Imperial and Chaos factions and, similar to Left 4 Dead, fight hordes of zombie-like enemies with four of them.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide was revealed in 2020 and should have been released in 2021, but was then postponed to spring 2022 due to corona. The game was postponed again to September 13, but that also proved impossible.

The PC version of the game is now scheduled for November 30, although a beta test will start this Thursday that people with a pre-order can access. It is unknown when the Xbox version of the game will be released.

Following a more cinematic trailer at Summer Game Fest, developer Fatshark is now showing off four minutes of gameplay from Warhammer 40K: Darktide.

In thes four minutes worth of footage in which players battle the hordes of the Darktide. The trailer shows a lot of melee combat and gives a look at classes like the Ogryn, Psyker, Zealot and Veteran. Some weapons and skills are also reviewed, such as powerslides and the ability to sprint.

The gameplay is accompanied by music by Danish composer Jesper Kyd, known from the likes of Assassin’s Creed II, Hitman: Blood Money, Borderlands 2 and Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide, the spiritual predecessor of Darktide.

The game is set to release on September 13 for PC and Xbox Series X/S, and will be available immediately on Game Pass.

News | Multiple Upcoming Warhammer Games Shown & Announced

Several upcoming Warhammer 40,000 games were revealed and showcased during a Warhammer Skulls Showcase last night. Including Space Marine 2, Warpforge and Darktide.

For example, the Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 announced at the end of last year was shown again in a new video. Developers in particular are featured in the video, but there are also a few short clips of the game.

It is a sequel to the 2011 action game based on the Warhammer universe. Players once again control Captain Titus. As in the first part, players use a variety of weapons and deadly moves to slaughter enemy Tyranids. According to the makers, one can expect “epic battles on distant planets”.

Where the first part was made by Relic Entertainment, Saber Interactive is developing this sequel. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC at an undisclosed date.

It was also announced that 2018 Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr will also be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S sometime later this year.

The game runs on PS5 and Xbox Series in native 4k and gets improved textures, shadows and physics. Also, the multiplayer is cross-gen. The DLC announced last year in the form of a new, playable class will come to PS5 and Xbox Series at a later date. It is not known whether players of the previously released console version will be able to upgrade for free.

Also, a digital card game called Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge was announced. This free-to-play game should come to Steam and mobile in 2023 with cross-platform support.

The game features cards featuring Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, Eldar, Necrons, Orcs, and Tyranids among others. After release, expansions should appear regularly to add more maps. Below is a short first trailer and a screenshot. The Horus Heresy: Legions developer Everguild is making the game.

Also announced was Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, a classic CRPG from Pathfinder developer Owlcat Games, including turn-based combat. In the game, as the name implies, players take on the role of a Rogue Trader who, with his staff on a gigantic Voidship, explores an unexplored region of space called the Koronus Expanse.

Rogue Trader is coming to PC and consoles at an unknown time, although it is not known which consoles exactly. People can pre-order a Founder’s Pack for PC.

Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Bitch was announced earlier, but was shown extensively in a new trailer yesterday. It was also announced that the game will be released on October 20 on Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

The game developed by Rogueside is a two-dimensional run-and-gunner, where players lead a massive Orc invasion, destroying everything in their path with a wide variety of weapons.

Finally, a new trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, called Rejects Will Rise, was shown. Similar in gameplay to Left 4 Dead, like its Warhammer: Vermintide predecessors, the game will be released on September 13 on PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, and on Xbox Series X and S. The game will also be available immediately on Game Pass.

News | Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector Coming in December

Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector will be available digitally on December 2 on PlayStation and Xbox.

The game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass for consoles and PC on the same day. Battlesector already appeared on PC earlier this year, but the console version has controls and an interface suitable for consoles.

In Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector, players control a Blood Angels army. The Space Marines take on the creepy Tyranids. The campaign takes place after the Devastation of Baal.

There will also be new DLC coming out in the coming months. New elite units for both console and PC versions, consisting of Assault Terminators and Sanguinary Guard, will be released on December 2nd. The second dlc has no date yet, but contains the Broodlord and Hive Guard.

Finally, on December 14, a new faction for the game will be revealed during the Wargamers live event.

Total War: Warhammer 3 will be available on PC from February 17, 2022.

Publisher Sega and developer Creative Assembly have announced this. The game will then be available on Steam, Epic Games Store and the Microsoft Store. The game will also be available immediately upon launch on Xbox Game Pass for PC.

A new trailer for the game featuring the Ogre Kingdoms Race Pack has also been released. This package is free for people who pre-order the game or buy the game in the week of launch. The DLC must be purchased separately via Game Pass. Ogre Kindoms includes Greasus Goldtooth and Skrag the Slaughterer – favorites among Warhammer fans. The trailer can be viewed below.

Total War: Warhammer 3 includes new mechanics, factions and all kinds of improvements. Also new are Survival Battles. These battles take place on enemy territory. The goal is to defend acquired points on the map from enemies. Players use earned resource materials to set up various barricades to lure enemies to a point on the map where they are easier to defeat.

After the release of Total War: Warhammer 3, Creative Assembly plans to release dlc that will combine the maps from the three Total War: Warhammer games into one large map. This will only be available to people who have purchased all three games. When exactly this will come out is not yet clear.


News | Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground Revealed

Focus Home Interactive has announced the strategy game Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground.

The game, developed by Gasket Games, was unveiled at Gamescom Opening Night Live last night. The trailer does not show any gameplay, but some screenshots have been released.

In Storm Ground, the first strategy game based on Games Workshops Age of Sigmar, players take on the role of a commander to engage in epic battles. Players can customize their own troops for turn-based combat in a non-linear campaign.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground is set to release on Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch sometime in 2021.
