Several upcoming Warhammer 40,000 games were revealed and showcased during a Warhammer Skulls Showcase last night. Including Space Marine 2, Warpforge and Darktide.

For example, the Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 announced at the end of last year was shown again in a new video. Developers in particular are featured in the video, but there are also a few short clips of the game.

It is a sequel to the 2011 action game based on the Warhammer universe. Players once again control Captain Titus. As in the first part, players use a variety of weapons and deadly moves to slaughter enemy Tyranids. According to the makers, one can expect “epic battles on distant planets”.

Where the first part was made by Relic Entertainment, Saber Interactive is developing this sequel. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC at an undisclosed date.

It was also announced that 2018 Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr will also be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S sometime later this year.

The game runs on PS5 and Xbox Series in native 4k and gets improved textures, shadows and physics. Also, the multiplayer is cross-gen. The DLC announced last year in the form of a new, playable class will come to PS5 and Xbox Series at a later date. It is not known whether players of the previously released console version will be able to upgrade for free.

Also, a digital card game called Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge was announced. This free-to-play game should come to Steam and mobile in 2023 with cross-platform support.

The game features cards featuring Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, Eldar, Necrons, Orcs, and Tyranids among others. After release, expansions should appear regularly to add more maps. Below is a short first trailer and a screenshot. The Horus Heresy: Legions developer Everguild is making the game.

Also announced was Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, a classic CRPG from Pathfinder developer Owlcat Games, including turn-based combat. In the game, as the name implies, players take on the role of a Rogue Trader who, with his staff on a gigantic Voidship, explores an unexplored region of space called the Koronus Expanse.

Rogue Trader is coming to PC and consoles at an unknown time, although it is not known which consoles exactly. People can pre-order a Founder’s Pack for PC.

Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Bitch was announced earlier, but was shown extensively in a new trailer yesterday. It was also announced that the game will be released on October 20 on Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

The game developed by Rogueside is a two-dimensional run-and-gunner, where players lead a massive Orc invasion, destroying everything in their path with a wide variety of weapons.

Finally, a new trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, called Rejects Will Rise, was shown. Similar in gameplay to Left 4 Dead, like its Warhammer: Vermintide predecessors, the game will be released on September 13 on PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, and on Xbox Series X and S. The game will also be available immediately on Game Pass.

Darktide is set in the city of Tertium, where players take on the role of the Imperial and Chaos factions and fight a la Left 4 Dead with its four hordes of zombie-like enemies.
