News | Warner Bros. Montreal hints at Batgirl in upcoming game

Batgirl may have a role in the upcoming game from Warners Bros. Montreal. This is discovered in a datamine from a Reddit user.

For the past few days, Warner Bros. gradually hints to the next game via codes on a special website. On Reddit, user Chase-u claims to have found all the codes (761941364995) linking to Batgirl’s debut comic on Google.

Barbara Gordon has appeared in the Batman Arkham games before, including as Batgirl in a prequel DLC to Batman: Arkham Knight. She also plays a role as Oracle in Arkham Knight, in which the paralyzed person is in a wheelchair. The upcoming Batman game may therefore be a precursor to the parts of Rocksteady Games, although there are several characters who took the role of Batgirl in the DC comics.

Warner Bros. Montreal will reveal the game in full on Saturday, August 22 at 7:30 PM during DC Fandome. Presumably it concerns Batman: Gotham Knights. Rocksteady also shows Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League on Sunday morning at 02:00.

News | Ghost of Tsushima is getting free co-op experience this fall

Ghost of Tsushima will be releasing a free update this fall that adds a cooperative multiplayer experience to the game.

Called Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, this experience is a new mode where players take on linear missions together with friends. The multiplayer mode does not take place in the open world of the main game. In these missions, players choose from four different classes, Samurai, Hunter, Ronin and Assassin, with each player having their own unique skills.

The narrative co-op missions feature different types of enemies based on Japanese myths. Where the main game focuses mainly on history, there are supernatural situations and enemies in Legends. Players who complete all missions in Legends and Survival will gain access to a Raid. However, this Raid will not be available at launch. There aren’t any more details about this.

The free Ghost of Tsushima: Legends update should be available to all owners of the PS4 game sometime this fall.

News | Fortnite removed from Apple Store and Google Play Store

Apple and Google have removed the popular battle royale game Fortnite from the App Store and Google Play Store. Epic Games has since sued Apple and Google.

Fortnite received an update on iOS and Android yesterday that allows players to bypass the regular way of making in-app purchases. By using ‘Epic Direct Payment’ all earnings go directly to Epic, and no amount is donated to Apple and Google. People who choose Epic Direct Payment therefore receive a twenty percent discount on their V-Bucks.

Yesterday, Apple and later Google decided to remove Fortnite from their digital stores. After all, it is mandatory for companies to transfer thirty percent of their sales to them when they offer their game through the App Store or Google Play Store, and Epic did not do this with this new payment method.

Epic has since sued Apple for “unfair and anti-competitive actions that allow Apple to maintain its monopoly in two billion-dollar industries,” namely, “the App Store and the iOS In-App Payment Processing Market.” Epic states that it is not suing Apple to make money, but to help thousands of other publishers and developers and to break the grip that Apple has on the mobile market. In the meantime, the company would also have sued Google.
