News | New No Man's Sky update Adrift available today

Hello Games today released a new update for No Man's Sky called Adrift.

Adrift allows players to explore an alternate universe where societies have become extinct. Buildings have rusted away and other life forms and shops are no longer there. According to the developer, it should offer “a completely different survival journey”.

Sandworms are present in this universe, and players can expect other surprises as well. The whole thing is put into a new Expedition and is therefore in fact a new campaign that also ends.

However, the update also adds all kinds of improvements and new elements. There is the Iron Vulture – a new Hauler ship – and there are new options for customizing ships.

Bethesda has released an update for Fallout 4 with a number of improvements and additions to the game. The update is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.

The contents of the update were previously announced via Bethesda’s Fallout blog. PC players can expect some bug fixes and widescreen support. For consoles, the update means, among other things, that players can choose between a quality and performance mode and that the game will be available in 60 frames per second. Finally, as of today, the game is also Steam Deck Verified, which means that according to Valve it is easily playable on the handheld PC.

News | New update No Man's Sky overhauls space stations

A new update for No Man's Sky is coming out today that addresses the space stations in the game.

This is the twenty-seventh update for the game, which is called Orbital. The biggest change is happening to space stations, which can now take on all kinds of different shapes and colors. They have also been thoroughly overhauled, redesigned and expanded on the inside, according to the patch notes from developer Hello Games.

Space station interiors are now procedurally generated, allowing each station to look completely different. The stations also look different based on the race that lives there: for example, the Korvax install many servers, while the Gek install many ergonomic chairs. The lighting and reflections in space stations have also been improved.

In addition, trading has been slightly adjusted, with players able to receive discounts from technology traders based on their relationship with the alien race. Players can also now design their own ship using parts they have looted. You can also dismantle ships that you don’t need and then use the parts in another ship.

The update appears today. Hello Games also released a trailer to highlight all the new features.

News | New Game Plus update for Spider-Man 2 now available

A new update has been released for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, adding New Game Plus, among other things.

New Game Plus means that players can play through the game again after completing it, but with even higher levels, new styles for the Symbiote suit and new upgrades for gadgets. There’s even a new Trophy for people who complete New Game Plus mode.

The update also gives players the ability to change the time of the in-game day at any time. Missions can also be replayed and there are new packages for the main characters. Insomniac warns that the update consists of two patches.

However, the release of the update did not go entirely according to plan. The update allowed players to use a button combination to open the game’s debug menu, which is actually only intended for the developers. Parts of the game can be skipped via the menu and various modifications can be turned on and off. In addition, the menu showed missions that are not in the game and may indicate DLC, such as the mention of the character Beetle, who is not in the main game.

A new update has been released for Helldivers 2, adding new natural disasters to the game.

Version 01.000.100 was released earlier this afternoon for PlayStation 5 and PC. According to the patch notes, “many planets now have additional environmental hazards that can randomly appear, including fire tornadoes and meteor showers.” The patch then rebalances the Eradicate missions and certain weapons, and also fixes a number of bugs.

Mechs should also be coming to the game sometime soon, the developer recently confirmed. “The EXO-45 Patriot Exosuits are in production at the Tien Kwan factories. They will soon be ready for deployment on the battlefield!” It is not known at the time of writing exactly when the mechs will arrive.

Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead Game Studios has also emphasized that it is an independent developer. Sony Interactive Entertainment is releasing Helldivers 2 on PlayStation 5 and PC, but Arrowhead remains independent for now.

In the co-op shooter Helldivers 2, players try to keep alien scum from ‘Super Earth’ as part of a team and are presented with various missions, such as obtaining important data or destroying an enemy nest. People choose their missions from a hub on a spaceship, which can also be upgraded. This ensures that players can expand and upgrade their arsenal.
