News | Fifth The Sims Game 'Project Rene' In Development

Electronic Arts has announced that it is working on a new The Sims game, codenamed Project Rene.

A presentation about the popular franchise was held yesterday, which can be viewed in its entirety below. At the end of the presentation, Project Rene was mentioned.

“We’re building a next-generation Sims game that also serves as a creative platform,” said franchise vice president Lyndsay Pearson. “We’re reinventing The Sims you know and love with new ways to play. This is the future of The Sims, built on the foundation of charming Sims, powerful tools and meaningful stories.”

Unique to the game is that players can work alone or with others. Not only can patterns and colors of objects such as furniture be adjusted, but even the shape of objects can be adjusted. Furthermore, EA emphasizes that the same experience should be offered on all available platforms, including mobile.

EA will provide updates on the game’s development “in the coming years”. Over time, Project Rene should be available through early access to a small group of players.

News | EA may also be working on an Iron Man game

Electronic Arts would not only be working on a game around Black Panther, but also make a game about Marvel hero Iron Man.

Journalist Jeff Grubb reports during the Giant Bomb Game Mess Mornings stream that the publisher is “making another Marvel game with a single-player focus.” Journalist Tom Henderson responded that he has heard rumors that it is an Iron Man game. Henderson does warn that he is not sure how much the rumor can be trusted.

Grubb recently shared that he had heard that EA is also working on a single-player game around Black Panther. According to Grubb, the game, which is only just in development, starts when Black Panther dies, and players must prove themselves to become the new version of the hero.

The Black Panther game would be developed by a new EA studio in Seattle. It is unknown who is working on the possible Iron Man game. In any case, both games have not been officially announced as of yet.

Andrew Wilson, the CEO of EA, recently mentioned in a conversation with shareholders that single player games are still very important to the company.

Electronic Arts would be working on a game around Marvel hero Black Panther

Geoff Grubb states that during a Giant Bomb podcast. According to him, the game is just under development and it is a single player game that takes place in an open game world. According to Grubb, the game starts when Black Panther dies, and players must prove themselves to become the next Black Panther.

The game would be known internally as ‘Project Rainier’, based on Mount Rainier in Seattle, which is home to a new EA studio working on the game. The studio is already known to be headed by Kevin Stephens, the former boss of Monolith Productions, known for the Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor games. At that announcement, it was already said that the studio would focus on open world games.

News | Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the fastest selling Star Wars game on PC

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the fastest selling Star Wars game from EA on PC ever.

Publisher Electronic Arts has announced this via a press release. The company bases this on the first two weeks since the game was on sale. Specific sales figures are not given.

In addition, the company says it is the fastest-selling launch of a digital Star Wars game ever. Including physical copies, it is therefore likely that another Star Wars game will be sold faster on launch – although EA does not say which game that is.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a single player action adventure developed by Respawn Entertainment. The game is set after Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. Gamers play as Cal while trying to survive and stay out of the hands of the Galactic Empire. During his journey Cal visits both new worlds and iconic planets from Star Wars stories.
