News | World of Warcraft: Shadowlands postponed to later this year

Blizzard has delayed World of Warcraft expansion Shadowlands for sometime later this year.

The new expansion should have been released on October 27th. However, the company has announced via social media that it will take a little longer. There is not yet a precise new release date. According to Blizzard, a little more time is needed to finish the expansion.

Shadowlands includes a new area called Exile’s Reach for beginners. There are also new dungeons and a new raid to explore.


News | Cross-play is coming to Apex Legends next week

Cross-play will be available in Apex Legends starting October 6.

From then on, players can play against each other on consoles and PC. Console players will be grouped together , PC players will continue to be placed in separate matches as they usually play with mouse and keyboard.

However, when console gamers are in a party with a PC gamer, you can play against PC gamers. Cross progression isn’t in the game from next week.

From October 6 also launches the new Collection Event, called Aftermarket. This adds new content to the game, including a limited mode called Flashpoint.

Apex Legends is available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.


News | Rogue Company now free-to-play

The shooter Rogue Company is now playable for free as an open beta. This was announced by First Watch Games and publisher Hi-Res Studios.

In the third-person shooter, teams of four compete against each other to dismantle or place a bomb. Players have active and passive abilities and can ping enemies and revive teammates just like in battle royale games.

The update is accompanied by the new character Dhalia. Custom matches and the new Lockdown folder were also recently added to the game.

Rogue Company launched as a closed beta on July 20 and is now available for free download for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC through the Epic Game Store. The game supports cross-progression and cross-play for all platforms.


News | New Assassin's Creed Valhalla trailer revolves around the story

Ubisoft has released a new narrative trailer for Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

The ‘Story trailer’ mainly shows many cut-scenes from the game and revolves around Eivor and his brother Sigurd, who want to find a new home in England. It also hints at the mysterious group called the Hidden Ones.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is set in the ninth century and features Norway and England as playable locations. Valhalla introduces new features including the ability to build your own settlements and gain power and influence. Also, players can now use a different weapon in each hand. It is also possible to play as a female character, just like in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be available on Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Google Stadia starting November 10. The PS5 version will be available from November 19th.


News | No Man's Big Sky Origins Update Now Available

Hello Games has released a major new update for No Man's Sky called Origins.

The large amount of changes and new elements that have been added to the game can be seen via the official website. The universe that players explore has to become even more varied with millions of new planets, multiple stars in some universes, much more difference in landscape scale, more different colors, different weather conditions and strange buildings.

Furthermore, the user interface has been updated, new aliens can be found, some planets now contain swamps, the photo mode has been overhauled, there are now volcanoes and firestorms, new items can be created and meteorites are now really landing on planets . Insects and giant sandworms can now also be found.

News | Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta starts in October

Activision Blizzard has announced the dates for the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War betas.

Last weekend PS4 gamers were already able to test out the alpha version of the multiplayer. PlayStation 4 gamers who have pre-ordered the game will be able to try the beta on October 8-9. An open beta will be playable for everyone on the same platform from 10 to 12 October.

On Xbox One and PC, the beta will be available to pre-ordered people on October 15-16. On those days there will be another open beta on PlayStation 4.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is set after the first Black Ops and revolves around the manhunt for Soviet spy Perseus. Just like the first part, the game switches between the 1980s and the Vietnam War. Several well-known characters return, such as Mason, Woods and Hudson. The game includes a multiplayer and Zombies mode. Furthermore, Warzone is integrated into the game, with a battle pass system and free content such as weapons.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be released on November 13 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and PC. The game will also be released on PlayStation 5 on November 19.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on November 19 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game can therefore be played on Xbox Series X, Series S and PlayStation 5 via backward compatibility. News | Kratos voice actor shares his joy for the new God of War

Christopher Judge, the actor who portrays God of War lead character Kratos, shares his joy at the newly announced new part.

He did that on social media. He posted two videos. In one of the videos he turns on his microphone and says the iconic “boy”. In the other video, he is holding a Kratos action figure and smiling at the camera.

Although it has not been confirmed, it seems almost certain that Judge will once again take on the role of Kratos in the new part. A short teaser of the new God of War was shown during the PlayStation 5 presentation last Wednesday night. Only the text “Ragnarok is coming” was shown.

It’s no surprise that a new God of War for PlayStation 5 is in development: the previous part on PlayStation 4 already hinted at a sequel. Sony wants to release the new God of War in 2021.


News | Godfall will be released on PC on November 12, a week later for PlayStation 5

The upcoming Gearbox game Godfall will be released on PC on November 12 and on PlayStation 5 a week later.

In the United States and Canada, PS5 gamers can already start with the game on November 12 – the new console will launch there on that day. In Europe, the PS5, just like the game, will not be released until November 19. The game will be available worldwide via the Epic Games Store from November 12.

Godfall was revealed at The Game Awards late last year. The new game from Gearbox is described as a combination between a slasher and a looter. The third-person fantasy game focuses on melee combat and was developed by Counterplay Games. Players can unlock legendary weapons and armor and play with up to four people.


News | Sony reveals PlayStation 5 launch games

Sony has unveiled the first-party launch games for the console after the PlayStation 5 Showcase.

Demon’s Souls and Spider-Man: Miles Morales, among others, will release with the console on November 19 (November 12 in Japan, the United States and a number of other countries). Astro’s Playroom is also included for free with every PlayStation 5.
