News | Hideo Kojima and Xbox Game Studios announce horror game OD

During The Game Awards, Hideo Kojima announced the horror game OD with his studio Kojima Productions and Microsoft.

There have been rumors about the horror game for quite some time and images have even been leaked before. In addition, Kojima announced last year that he would be making a game together with Xbox Game Studios. Previously the game was known as Overdose.

There aren’t many details about the game yet, but Kojima said the following during the reveal: “I like to challenge myself with new things. This game is made using Xbox Game Studios and their cloud gaming technology. It’s a game , but at the same time a film and a new form of media.

Film director Jordan Peele (Get Out, Us, Nope) also appeared on stage to announce his collaboration on the project, calling Kojima an “icon”. “He is an inspiration to me, and the opportunity to work together is incredible.”

The trailer clearly shows that the game takes place in Vice City and the surrounding area and that two main characters, a man and a woman, will play the leading roles in this GTA.

News | Bioware shows new images of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf

Bioware has released a short new trailer for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. This also makes it clear that the full reveal of the game will take place in the summer of 2024.

The trailer mainly shows some in-game locations. Like previous parts, the game takes place in the country of Thedas, but according to a new blog, this game should show much more of the country.

For example, the trailer shows the city of Antiva, the coastal area of Rivain and the stormy Anderfels. According to the description, it is a “vibrant land full of harsh wilderness, treacherous labyrinths and beautiful cities – immersed in barbaric battles and secret magic.”

It has been known for several years that Bioware is working on a new Dragon Age, but last year it was revealed that the game is called Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. Solas, the Dread Wolf, has an important role in the game. He also appeared in Inquisition.

The game will be released on an unknown date on PC, Xbox Series X and S and PlayStation 5.

Ubisoft is giving away the game via Ubisoft Connect. The game can be claimed until December 6.

News | Assassin's Creed Mirage studio continues to work on the franchise

Ubisoft Bordeaux, the studio behind Assassin's Creed Mirage released earlier this year, continues to work on the Assassin's Creed franchise.

This is evident from a tweet from Rik Godwin, who reports that he has completed his first week as head writer at the studio. He specifically mentions that he is working on the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

It is not clear what exactly is in development, but since Mirage has already been released and it is unlikely that DLC will appear for it, it could be a new game – although it is also possible that the studio will support other Ubisoft teams with the development of AC games.

Ubisoft Bordeaux also worked on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla DLC Wrath of the Druids and the live versions of the games Ghost Recon Wildlands, Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Rainbow Six Extraction.

News | Teaser of second Atomic Heart expansion released

Developer Mundfish has posted images of the second expansion for Atomic Heart online.

A few months ago, the company released a first teaser of the second expansion in which geese play the leading role – that video can also be viewed below. The second teaser shows the game world where the DLC takes place, Limbo. This shows that the environments become imaginative and playful compared to the game itself.

According to the developer, players can expect “a strange world with opposing logic” where they will face new enemies using unique weapons. Players must figure out if they are stuck in Limbo forever.

The new expansion should be released sometime this winter and is part of the season pass. An expansion for the game was previously released called Annihilation Instinct.

Atomic Heart, released earlier this year for PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, was criticized by some gamers because the developer’s Russian ties remained unclear. Despite that, the game sold beyond expectations.
