Just before the weekend, the highly anticipated Fallout: New Vegas mod The Frontier was released.
The mod has been in development for about seven years and is the largest mod ever for a Fallout game. Players explore the frozen plains of Portland, Oregon, now part of the New California Republic and the Crusaders of Steel.
The new area should be about the size of a completely new game and even includes vehicles to drive into. There are also new characters with spoken voices and all kinds of new quests.
The launch of the mod did cause several problems. Due to the popularity of the mod, NexusMods was temporarily offline during the weekend, although the website and the specific page for the mod are now available again. The mod should also be released on Steam in the course of this week.

A new teaser of the upcoming Airship map for Among Us has been posted online.
The upcoming map for Among Us was already revealed at The Game Awards late last year. In the new teaser, the emphasis is on a moving platform, which, as shown in the video below, can cause serious problems for players.
Airship is due to be added to the game for free sometime early this year. The map, as the name implies, takes place on an airship.
In Among Us, players must work together to maintain a spaceship while an intruder tries to kill the crew. During the game it is important to find out which player that is.

Among Us is made by three men and launched in 2018. Last summer, the game’s popularity suddenly increased. The game is available on PC, Switch, iOS and Android.

Hogwarts Legacy postponed to next year
Hogwarts Legacy should have been released sometime this year, but Twitter reports that the developer wants to create the best possible experience and that more time is needed to do so.
Warner Bros. announced the RPG during a PlayStation 5 presentation last September. The game offers players an open world and takes place around 1800. Players take classes and learn spells at Hogwarts.
The game is being developed by Disney Infinity developer Avalanche Software and is coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One and PC.
News | Doom costumes are coming to Fall Guys next week
Three costumes based on the Doom franchise in Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout will be available next Tuesday.
Players can then dress up as the Doom Slayer in-game. Costumes of the Cacodemon and something resembling a cross between the Mancubus and Imp demons are also available.
A Doom Slayer costume for the game was already hinted at the end of last year, but now it has been officially revealed and the release date is known. As usual, the costumes will only be available for a limited time.
The third season of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout started December 15th. It contains seven new levels and more than thirty new skins.

A new video shows the first five minutes of gameplay from the upcoming Hitman 3.
These are the first moments of the opening mission in Dubai, in which Agent 47 climbs over the tallest skyscraper in the world.
Hitman 3 is set to be the final installment of the reboot trilogy and Agent 47’s “most personal installment” yet.
The game will be released on January 20th for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, Epic Games Store and Google Stadia. A cloud version should be available on the Switch later.

News | Free dlc for Cyberpunk 2077 will be released early next year
The first free downloadable content for Cyberpunk 2077 should be released early next year.
An official website for the game’s DLC has been launched, stating that the free DLC should be released in early 2021. Further details are not known, so it is not clear what exactly the downloadable content includes.
Developer CD Projekt Red previously indicated that it planned to release about the same amount of DLC as for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. That game got two major paid add-ons and sixteen minor free downloads.
There were many bugs in Cyberpunk 2077 at launch. Especially the version on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 did not run properly, the game was even pulled from the PlayStation Store. CD Projekt has promised to release major updates for PS4 and Xbox One early next year, so that the game should run better on the systems. Apparently this did not affect the plans for the free DLC.
In addition to the paid and free downloadable content, a multiplayer mode should also come to Cyberpunk 2077. It is not yet known when this will appear.

A player record on Steam was broken over Christmas.
On Christmas Day, 23 million people were online on the platform at the same time. That is more than seven million more than on Christmas Day last year. In 2015 it was only 10.5 million, so it has more than doubled in five years. On the Boxing Day and the day after, almost 25 million simultaneous players were reached this year.

News | DualSense controller gets official Linux support
Sony has released a driver for the DualSense controller that allows the PlayStation 5 controller to be used on Linux.
Earlier this month, Sony released the driver. However, the driver has not yet been officially accepted and so has yet to be rolled out worldwide, but this should be done in the near future.
Thanks to the driver, all the basic features of the PS5 controller will work properly on a Linux operating system, including the regular action buttons, the touchpad, the default rumble and motion sensors. The haptic feedback and adaptive triggers are not yet working.
No official drivers for the DualSense are available for Windows. However, the controller is supported via Steam.
