Next week the free version of Destiny 2 will be released, called New Light. Bungie has since announced what players can and cannot play in this free-to-play version of Destiny 2.

Next week, Desiny 2 will no longer be playable from Battle.net, as the game will move to Steam. The move also brings a free version of the first person shooter called New Light.
Developer Bungie explained in a tweet what is and what is not available in New Light.

All players start the game with a Power Level of 750 and are able to raise this level to the maximum power level. In addition, players can earn seasonal rewards and grades. Destiny 2: New Light contains the storylines of The Red War, Warmind and The Curse of Osiris. In addition, all exotic weapons, armor sets and raids from year one are available in the free-to-play version of Destiny 2. In addition, players get access to selected content from year two.

If players want to extend their Destiny 2 experience through additional adventures, weapons and storylines, they must purchase additional content such as the Forsaken and Shadowkeep expansions.
