News | Infected mode is being added to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 today

The Infected multiplayer mode will be added to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 later today.

Treyarch announced this via social media. In the Infected mode, players try to survive in multiplayer against zombies controlled by other players. These zombie players try to turn all human players into zombies as well. The mode will probably appear in the game at the end of the afternoon or early evening.

Treyarch also emphasized that Nuketown will be added to the game this coming Friday. This was already confirmed before the release of Black Ops 6. The small multiplayer map that takes place in a village specially made for nuclear testing has been a permanent part of the subseries since the first Black Ops game. The map will be available to all players and will be added free of charge.

The game features a single-player campaign, multiplayer with new maps, and a Zombies mode with rounds. The campaign this time around is set in the Gulf War, and familiar Black Ops characters such as Frank Woods make a return. Multiplayer features 16 maps. New to the game is the Omnimovement system, which allows players to run, slide, jump, and dive in any direction.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is now available on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, PC, and Xbox Game Pass.

News | First artwork from Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War shown

The first artwork of the recently announced Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War has been revealed via Twitter.

The game revolves around the Cold War, the conflict between the US and Russia,  and the artwork seems to confirm that. In addition, two different soldiers are shown, which seems to hint at the possibility that players play with people from both countries during the game.

There aren’t many more details yet, Activision posted a teaser video yesterday featuring black and white images from the 60s. The video ends with the comment “Know your history, or be doomed to repeat it”.

The game will be unveiled on Wednesday, August 26.
