News | Ninth Season and New Mode for The Division 2 Revealed

Ubisoft has revealed Season 9 for Tom Clancy's The Division 2. This includes a new game mode. The new content will be available this Thursday.

Season 9 starts next Thursday and is called Hidden Alliance. The season adds a big new boss named Captain Lewis. Players must kill four mini bosses before taking on Lewis to stop the True Sons gang from taking over Washington DC.

The new season also introduces a completely new mode called Countdown. Two teams consisting of four players are given fifteen minutes to stabilize a nuclear power plant. Teams start at different places in the level and must work together to overcome this challenge.

Ubisoft has also announced that a season 10 and 11 should be released this year. The company previously announced that it is working on a free-to-play game in the series called The Division: Heartland, but almost nothing is known about it yet. It is clear, however, that it must retain known elements from series. In this way the third person view is preserved. Also, players can play alone or with up to three other gamers.

Those interested in trying out The Division 2 can play the game for free this Friday through Sunday on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, Epic Games Store, and Ubisoft Connect.

News | Resident Evil-crossover in The Division 2 is nu live

The previously announced Resident Evil crossover in Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is available now.

The crossover was announced during the Resident Evil livestream last month. This to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Capcom horror franchise.

The Division 2 players can now unlock a variety of classic Resident Evil skins. These are skins based on the characters Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Rebecca Chambers and the tactical gear of Umbrella’s strike team.

There are also masks based on the Nemesis and emblems for the backpack or arm based on an Ink Ribbon, the T-Virus, S.T.A.R.S., Umbrella Corp. and Raccoon City Police Department available.

The various skins and extras can be unlocked by unlocking special event caches with Apparel Keys collected in the game. It can also be purchased through the in-game Division 2 store.

The crossover event is available through February 15th. More details can be found on this blog.
