News | Destiny 2 Expansion The Witch Queen To Be Revealed During Livestream

On August 24, Bungie will broadcast a livestream revealing the Destiny 2 expansion The Witch Queen.

The announcement was made via the game’s official Twitter channel. The Witch Queen is one of two Destiny 2 expansions that Bungie announced more than a year ago before the launch of Beyond Light. The Witch Queen was supposed to be released at the end of this year, but has since been postponed to 2022.

There is not much more information about the expansion yet, but that should change during the livestream. Players are hoping for a release date and first images, revealing more about the setting and story.

News | Destiny 2 expansion The Witch Queen postponed to 2022

The next major expansion for Destiny 2, The Witch Queen, has been delayed to 2022.

Developer Bungie says this in a new blog post that it posted online last night. The Witch Queen was announced last summer and should have been released this year.

“As we scaled up production of The Witch Queen, we made the difficult but important decision to delay it to early 2022. We realized we also need to launch an unannounced chapter after Lightfall to finish our first saga of Destiny to round. ” An important part of the choice, according to Bungie, is “the health of our development team”.

In the rest of the blog, Bungie emphasizes that the company wants to make Destiny 2 the definitive action mmo this year, and so it should keep adding elements like weapons and armor to keep the experience exciting. The addition of cross-play is also an important element.
