News | Fourth Diablo 4 season is called Loot Reborn

The fourth season of Diablo 4, called Loot Reborn, will start on May 14.

In an extensive blog post, Blizzard tells more about what players can expect. In addition to temporary seasonal content, the season will also make permanent major changes to the game. As a result, the new season not only adapts the Seasonal Realm, but also the Eternal Realm.

As the title of the season indicates, there is a major focus on loot. How this loot is unlocked, functions and influences the levels of players is being overhauled.

According to Blizzard, it will be easy to see at a glance how good loot is. “We have moved the complexity and customization of the loot to our new crafting systems, Tempering and Masterworking.” Tempering is a new crafting system for attaching affixes to items. With Masterworking, items can be upgraded by twelve ranks via existing affixes.

Furthermore, Helltide events will be available across all World Tiers and there will be a new Threat Level that increases as players defeat enemies. Once they reach Threat Level 3, players will face an “immensely powerful agent of Hell” called Hellborn. Also new is a new endgame challenge called The Pit, which can be done by up to four players simultaneously once enough Runeshards have been collected. In The Pit, players must defeat a predetermined number of monsters and a boss within a time limit, which will yield valuable Masterworking materials. The Pit has a total of two hundred difficulty levels.

The fourth season of Diablo 4 starts on May 14 at 7:00 PM.

News | Overwatch 2 season four content revealed

Blizzard has revealed what players can expect from Overwatch 2 during the game's fourth season.

The company did so via a new blog post. The new hero Lifeweaver was previously revealed. It is about “an intelligent and curious adventurer who uses his biolight technology to make the world a better place. Lifeweaver influences the dynamics of every battle by providing cover, using his mobility and applying impactful positioning in ways we never have seen before.” The hero will be immediately available to players with a premium battle pass, others must reach level 45.

The fourth season, which begins on April 11, will have a space theme. In the new trailer that can be viewed below, various new skins, modes and challenges can be seen. For example, there is the BOB and Weave mode, a variant of the 3v3 deathmatch in which everyone plays as Lifeweaver and each team has its own robot butler that can be moved with Lifeweaver’s Life Grip move. Bob and Weave is available until April 25.

A mode that ties into the space theme is Starwatch: Galactic Rescue, a 4v4 mode set on Horizon Lunar Colony. This mode logically also includes new skins for characters.

Battle for Olympus will also return from May 23 to 29. Hanzo, Lifeweaver, and Sigma will receive the Mythic-tier skin this season. Blizzard will also be selling a variety of skins again, including Omnic skins for Roadhog and Junkrat and a Pinocchio-esque look for Zenyatta. Finally, Brigitte gets a wider shield when she uses her ultimate.
