News | Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League video features new footage and details

Warner Bros. and Rocksteady have started a new video series based on the upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

The game was originally supposed to be released in 2022 but was postponed twice – it is now scheduled for release on February 2, 2024. When the game was shown early this year, the game was criticized for its focus on live-service elements.

The first episode of the new video series showcases various gameplay elements and narrative aspects of the game. Although the twenty-minute video doesn’t focus on the live-service elements of the game, the contents of the Deluxe Edition – including a ‘premium battle pass token’ – show that this is still part of the experience. The premium battle pass gives access to all kinds of cosmetic items. The standard edition of the game provides access to the free battle pass tiers, as well as new missions that are added throughout seasons.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is set in the universe of the Arkham games from developer Rocksteady, who are also responsible for this game. In the game, players control the Suicide Squad, who must save Metropolis and the world after Brainiac takes control of superheroes such as Superman and Batman. News Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League trailer revealed

Developer Rocksteady has revealed the game Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. That happened during DC's online event FanDome.

Suicide Squad is a multiplayer third-person shooter, where players can go through the game alone or with a maximum of four. When playing alone, the remaining Squad members are controlled by bots. The game takes place in the open world of Metropolis, which has been partly destroyed by the villain Braniac.

The trailer shows which four Suicide Squad members form the team in this version. The video opens with Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot and King Shark talking to each other. Soon the battle breaks out and they take out an army of enemies. The trailer ends with the reveal of another villain: Superman.
Rocksteady is known for their games from the Batman: Arkham series. Where the new Batman game Gotham Knights is not set in the same universe, according to the developer, Suicide Squad is connected to the Arkham universe.

The game is scheduled for release in 2022 and will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC.
