News | The Halo Pelican is coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator

A 40th anniversary edition of Microsoft Flight Simulator will be released in November this year and tonight some of the content was shown ,  including the Pelican from the Halo games.

The video shown at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase tonight shows the Pelican from Halo Infinite coming to the game. By the way, people who already own the game or are members of Game Pass can already download the Pelican as a preview.

The 40th anniversary edition is coming to Xbox consoles, PC and Game Pass. The update is free for anyone who already owns Microsoft Flight Simulator.


News | Halo-inspired weapons appeared in Destiny 2

Several Halo-inspired weapons have been added to Destiny 2.

That in connection with the thirtieth anniversary of Bungie, the developer of the Destiny series and the old Halo games. The weapons are not exact replicas of Halo weapons, but they are very similar to weapons like the Battle Rifle, Magnum and Energy Sword. In addition, there is a new activity for six players called Dares of Eternity to play.

Paid content has also been released in the form of the 30th Anniversary Pack. This includes a new dungeon and other content inspired by old Bungie games, including Marathon and Myth. Think the Myth Claymore sword, Destiny 1 weapons and protective gear inspired by Marathon.


News | New images of Halo television series revealed

A short teaser trailer for the television series based on Halo has appeared online.

A teaser was already shown in November, but this teaser shows more of the series, including a group of Spartans in a hangar. Last month it was already announced that the first full trailer of the Halo series will be shown during The Game Awards. It will be held in the night from Thursday to Friday from 02:00 Dutch time.

The series based on Halo was announced way back in 2013, but it took some time before the project got off the ground. Production on the show has been going on for quite some time now, and filming was completed last summer.

The first season of the series will have nine episodes. Actor Pablo Schreiber plays Master Chief, Natascha McElhone plays Dr. Halsey, Jen Taylor voice Cortana and Shabana Azmi plays Admiral Margaret Parangosky. The series is set to launch on Paramount+ in 2022.


News | The Halo Infinite campaign launch trailer

Microsoft has released the launch trailer for the Halo Infinite campaign.

The campaign will launch on Xbox consoles and Game Pass on December 8. The multiplayer became available in November and is free-to-play. The single-player campaign is set to become the “biggest, most open, and adventure-filled Halo experience to date,” according to 343 Industries.

Halo Infinite should have launched in late 2020, but the game was delayed after criticism of initial gameplay footage.


News | The first images of the Halo television series

Microsoft has aired the first teaser of the Halo television series.

As expected, the company did this last night during the livestream in which the 20th anniversary of Xbox works. The video shows a Master Chief donning his iconic outfit without clothes. A voice – possibly Cortona – then says “Hello, Master Chief”.

The series based on Halo was announced way back in 2013, but it took some time before the project got off the ground. Production on the show has been going on for quite some time now. The first season of the series will have nine episodes. News | New Halo Infinite artwork shared

Microsoft and 343 Industries have shared new artwork from Halo Infinite.

The new artwork can be seen at the bottom of this post and includes main character Master Chief. Twitter user Klobrille liked the artwork and posted it to social media this weekend.

Microsoft is expected to show more of the highly anticipated game at E3. The company will be holding an online presentation together with Bethesda on Sunday, June 13 at 7:00 PM Dutch time.

Halo Infinite should have been released with the Xbox Series X and S launch, but was delayed to sometime this year. It is known that online multiplayer will become free-to-play. The game will be released on Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and PC. The game will have cross-play and cross-progression.


News | 343 Industries shares new concept art from Halo infinite

343 Industries has shared new concept art from Halo infinite. These images are published in a blog post from the developer, called Happy Halodays.

Halo Infinite is considered a launch game for the Xbox Series X and will be released around Christmas 2020, this was revealed during the 2018 E3. The released concept art gives players a glimpse into the world of Halo Infinite and thus the future of the franchise.

The first image shows Master Chief, who is en route to the hologram known from the E3 trailer. In the trailer a voice comes from the hologram that Master Chief appoints as the chosen one.

The blog post of 343 Industries is closed with an afterword by Bonnie Ross, studio head of the developer.

Earlier, 343 Industries head Kiki Wolfkill said that Halo Infinite is seen as the beginning of the next generation of Halo games. In addition, it became clear that the infrastructure of the game is being redesigned to offer developers more freedom.
