News | New Jurassic World Evolution 2 DLC Revealed

Developer Frontier Developments has unveiled the new Jurassic World Evolution 2 DLC pack. The package is dedicated to the new movie Jurassic World Dominion.

The developer revealed this on the game’s official website. The package is called Dominion Biosyn and brings some of the movie cast to the game. Sam Neill (Alan Grant), Laura Dern (Ellie Sattler) and Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire Dearing) make their appearance in Frontier’s biggest DLC pack for the game to date.

The actors are part of a new campaign, which adds dinosaurs, vegetation zones and buildings from the film. Players can also dig up new genomes and use them to develop new plumed prehistoric species. These include the territorial Therizinosaurus, the intelligent Pyroraptor, the carnivore Dimetrodon and the greatest flying creature of all time: the Quetzalcoatlus.

Players can also place invisible fences and there will be a new transport system. The pack also brings a new scenario inspired by Jurassic World Dominion to Chaos Theory mode. The scenario takes place in a new area, based on the Spanish Sierra Nevada. In this new area full of pine forests and snowy mountains, players have to build their park.

Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion releases June 14 on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. The pack costs $14.99 and comes with a free update for the base game at the same time.

News | Jurassic World Evolution 2 video shows more of the campaign

A new developer diary of Jurassic World Evolution 2 has been released.

In the video, Frontier developers talk more about the authentic story of the campaign, as well as the new Chaos Theory mode. The latter mode contains various scenarios based on the popular film series.

The sequel to the 2018 Park Builder also includes new environments – such as dense forests and barren wasteland – that present all kinds of new challenges for the player to build a park. Logically, there are also more dinosaurs available, including flying and swimming ones. Frontier reports that it has created more authentic behavior for dinosaurs.

The game also gets a new role in the form of the scientist. They are responsible for all the research and creation of dinosaurs in the park. After all, players can modify the DNA of dinosaurs. Scientists who are put to work too hard can at some point burn out and sabotage the park.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 will be released on November 9 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and PC.

Finally, in this sequel, unlike the first part, players can choose different variations of the buildings present and also customize the colors. That way, not everything in the park looks the same.

News | Frontier talks about changes in Jurassic World Evolution 2

Developer Frontier has shared more information about several new and improved aspects of Jurassic World Evolution 2.

They do this on their forum, where they highlight some changes and additions. For example, in part two, dinosaurs create territories within their enclosures based on their environmental needs. If this territory gets too small, they will want to expand it. In addition, dinosaurs move a lot more in this game, so players have to think more about where exactly they place their Viewing Galleries.

The dinosaurs have also acquired more different behavioral traits and they respond better to their environment. Frontier has added new animations for dinos resting, socializing, walking, running, hunting and fighting. Carnivores hunt more often in groups and do so more intelligently. However, dinosaurs that are more likely to be hunted are also smarter at avoiding the dangerous beasts. This increases the chance that they will survive an attack and that medical help can arrive in time to save them.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is slated for 2021, although a launch date has not yet been announced.
