News | Warframe developer announces new game Soulframe

Heading

The studio does not see the new game as a successor to Warframe, but more as Warframe’s sister. As stated in an interview in the Washington Post. The focus is still on cooperative pve, but the game takes place in an opposite version of the Warframe universe. Where Warframe mainly focused on shooting, in Soulframe the emphasis is on slower melee combat.

The game will be free-to-play and in early development. It is not yet clear when the game will be released. It has not yet been announced which platforms the game will be playable on.

News | Warframe is optimized for Xbox Series X and S

Warfare heeft een next-gen update voor Xbox Series X en S ontvangen. Dat laat Microsoft weten.

“Our new rendering engine allows for dynamic lighting effects in real time and volumetric shadows provide our most immersive experience yet, in 4K resolution and 60 fps on Series X, and 1080p and 60 fps on Series S,” said developer Digital Extremes.

The update also brings a new audio system that should bring more depth and detail. Furthermore, the loading times have been shortened and the new version is cross-play with Xbox One.

The upgrade is accompanied by the free Call of the Tempestarii update, which will also appear on other platforms. It adds a new Warframe, a new story quest and the ship The Railjack to the game, among other things. Players can assemble the ship and fight against enemies.

The updates are now available for free.
