Lara Croft from the Tomb Raider franchise comes to Dead by Daylight as Survivor.

This was announced yesterday via the official website. The version of Lara Croft that will be playable in the game is based on the modern Tomb Raider trilogy. The character will be released on July 16 as part of the Tomb Raider chapter, although she can already be tested in the game’s test build on Steam.

Dead by Daylight was released in 2006 and is an asymmetrical multiplayer game. One player is the killer, while the other four players have to survive. Dead by Daylight regularly adds characters known from horror franchises. These are also regularly villains from horror franchises who – unlike Lara – serve as enemies in the game. Think of Freddy Krueger (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Ash (Evil Dead), Ghost Face (Scream), Pinhead (Hellraiser), Leatherface (The Texas Chain Saw Massacre) and Pyramid Head (Silent Hill).

News | Chucky and Tiffany are coming to Dead by Daylight

Chucky and Tiffany - both known from the Child's Play horror franchise - will appear in Dead by Daylight on November 28.

Chucky will be a new killer in the game, but players can customize him with the “Good Gal” outfit, which essentially makes him look like Tiffany. Both characters are voiced by their original voice actors, Brad Dourif and Jennifer Tilly.

Recently the Stranger Things chapter was added to Dead by Daylight. The content, including the Demogorgon as an assassin and the Underground Complex Map, disappeared at the end of 2021 after the license expired, but it has now been renewed.

The Dead by Daylight franchise regularly adds characters known from horror franchises, including Freddy Krueger (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Ash (Evil Dead), Ghost Face (Scream), Pinhead (Hellraiser), Leatherface (The Texas Chain). Saw Massacre) and Pyramid Head (Silent Hill).

News | Hellraiser's Pinhead is coming to Dead by Daylight

The next iconic horror villain to come to Dead by Daylight has been revealed: Pinhead from Hellraiser.

It is the first time that the character appears in a game. The collaboration was revealed via a Hellraiser logo on social media yesterday. It is not known when the DLC will be officially released, but Steam players can already play as Pinhead in the test version of the game.

Pinhead attacks opponents by throwing chains at them. His finishing move sends chains from all directions to tie the opponent to a pole and drag them to hell.

More famous horror characters have appeared in Dead by Daylight. Previous characters have included Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger and the Demogorgon from Stranger Things.
