News | Infinity Ward shows first trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Infinity Ward and Activision have revealed the first gameplay trailer and with it the first official information for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Some details about the game have also been revealed. Well-known characters such as John ‘Soap’ McTavivish’ and Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley return in the campaign, of which one mission is set in Amsterdam. The game uses a renewed water system, which should make water look more realistic.
As for the multiplayer mode, players will be able to swim in the Modern Warfare series for the first time. Water influences the visibility and effectiveness of bullets. Furthermore, the game features a Rainbow Six-esque mode called Prisoner Rescue, and Knockout, where players have to hold onto a bag of money for as long as possible.
The game will be released on October 28 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and PC.

News | Call of Duty: Modern Warfare won't get lootboxes
Infinity Ward responds to unfounded rumors. Infinity Ward has announced that they are not currently working on lootboxes for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
Joel Emslie, head of art at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has returned to Reddit to clear some rumors about the game, “There is still misinformation about Modern Warfare. What I can say right now is that we are definitely NOT working on any kind of supply drop or a loot box system. Functional things are also unlocked via gameplay. Stay informed, we are planning to release more information this week. “
In September he already posted a message on Reddit regarding rumors surrounding the game. In it he reported that there was news about the game that is both true and wrong. Emslie asks the Reddit users if they want to focus on the news that is actually the truth and not the news of “poorly informed people who want to make a name for themselves by spreading half-heartedly rioting rumors,” said Emslie.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be released on October 25 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
