News | Concept art from upcoming Blade game shared

The first concept art of the newly announced game based on Marvel's Blade has been shared online.

Art director Sebastien Mitton shared the artwork. It shows a slightly futuristic Paris. The third-person action game is set in a part of Paris that is under quarantine during a supernatural emergency. Vampires have arrived on the scene and it’s up to Blade to keep the citizens of Paris safe.

It recently emerged that Blade has been in development for a few years. There are not many more details about the game yet. It is even unclear on which systems the game will appear. The game is being developed by Arkane Lyon, which is part of Microsoft studio Bethesda, which significantly increases the chance that the game will be console exclusive for Xbox.

News | Arkane Lyon develops game based on Marvel's Blade

Arkane Lyon is developing Blade, a game based on Marvel's anti-hero of the same name.

Marvel’s Dinga Bakaba and Bill Roseman unveiled the game during The Game Awards last night. The game will take place in a part of Paris that is under quarantine during a supernatural emergency. Vampires have appeared on the scene and it is up to Blade to keep the residents of Paris safe.

According to Rosemann, the game is partly being developed to celebrate Blade’s fiftieth anniversary year. Arkane’s Bakaba says it was a dream of his to be able to work on the Blade franchise.

Arkane is known for its immersive games, such as Prey, Deathloop and Dishonored.

It is not yet known when and on which systems Blade will appear, although it is likely that this will include at least PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S and PC.
