News | App lets players build bases for No Man's Sky

A mod-created app for No Man's Sky allows bases to be created and imported to the PC version of the game.

The app can be downloaded via the modding platform Nexus. According to maker DjMonkey, the app offers a fun way to design and color parts of your bases. The app is specially designed for No Man’s Sky, so that importing does not take long. He does warn about a few teething problems, because he is still optimizing the app.

Sean Murray, creator of No Man’s Sky, is impressed with the application. “Holy moly,” he wrote on Twitter.

No Man’s Sky will receive a free PlayStation VR 2 update on February 22, 2023. This means that the update will be released at the same time as the PlayStation VR2 headset. It is not yet clear what content the free update contains exactly.

News | Friend requests can now be sent via Switch Online app

Users can now send friend requests via the Nintendo Switch Online mobile app.

Previously this was only possible via the Nintendo Switch itself, but now it is also possible via the smartphone app. Players can also share their unique friend code via a qr code or url. It is not possible to accept the friend request via the app; that still has to be done via the Switch itself.

Furthermore, people using the app on iPhone need at least iOS 14.0 to use it. People with iOS 13 or earlier will no longer be able to use the app.
