Extensive gameplay of the upcoming Dragon's Dogma 2 was shown during a Capcom Tokyo Game Show livestream.
The gameplay video covers almost nine minutes of gameplay and shows, among other things, important battles and the choice of different classes. Players will once again face major enemies. The pawn system also returns, allowing players to call in computer-controlled partners to help them.
The first game was released in May 2012 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and has acquired cult status over the years. A year later, a new version of the game was released, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, which was also released on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch over the last decade. In 2020, Netflix also released a seven-part animated series based on the game.
On the tenth anniversary of the first Dragon’s Dogma last year, the sequel was announced. The game runs on Capcom’s RE Engine.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be released at an unknown time on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S and Steam. A playable demo of the game is available at Tokyo Game Show.
