Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League players are required to be online at all times, even when playing in single player.

This is according to an FAQ of the game published yesterday. Yes, an internet connection is required to play Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League alone or via online co-op. The reason for that is probably so that players can invite other players into the game at any time.

During last night’s State of Play broadcast, gameplay from the game was shown. The gameplay shows the Justice League – consisting of Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, King Shark and Deadshot – taking on The Flash. The game can be played alone or with up to four players.

The game also gets a battle pass, although according to developer Rocksteady it only contains cosmetic items. New characters and missions should be added to the game after release.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is out May 26 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S.
