THQ Nordic has announced a 'reinterpretation' of horror game Alone in the Dark.
Like the original, which appeared in 1992, the game takes place in Derceto Manor. In addition, players discover the mystery surrounding Jeremy Hartwood as the woman Emily or the detective Edward. Both protagonists offer unique scenes in the story.
As the trailer reveals, the gameplay consists of exploring the mansion, solving puzzles and fighting monsters. The game is being developed by Swedish company Pieces Interactive and is being directed and written by Soma and Amnesia writer Mikael Hedberg.
Alone in the Dark is out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The game has been in development since late 2019 and is estimated to be released in 2023 by the developer.
