Sony and Naughty Dog have revealed the first artwork for the upcoming The Last of Us multiplayer game. The game revolves around new characters.
The artwork was shown during the Summer Game Fest presentation, where Naughty Dog boss Neil Druckmann was on hand to report that the game is going to be very big, “just as big as our single player games and bigger in some areas”.
As previously announced, it is to be a standalone multiplayer game in The Last of Us universe. According to Druckmann, players can count on completely new characters and even a story is told. The game is set in a different location from the US. Judging by the artwork, it’s about San Francisco.
The development of the game is led by people who worked on The Last of Us and Uncharted, including Vinit Agarwal, Anthony Newman and Josepth Pettinati. More details are not yet known.
