The horror game The Chant will be released in October for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, but not for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The Chant was originally announced for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, but the latest trailer, which also announces the release month, is missing the previous generation of consoles. Developer Brass Token which is founded by people who worked on Sleeping Dogs and Rockstars Bully,  says it will prioritize the latest generation of consoles and the PC version.

The horror game is set on a remote island, where some people gather for a spiritual experience. Players must survive on the island while being attacked by some supernatural creatures, who are released after a ritual opens the gate to a “nightmare dimension” called The Gloom. Players must “craft, fight and escape” to survive.

The Chant is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in October. Brass Token has not yet confirmed that the previous generation of consoles will be skipped altogether, but has said on Twitter that the priorities are now with the current-gen PC version.
