Gearbox has announced that it is working on a new Tales from the Borderlands. The game is scheduled for release in 2022. Unfortunately this time Tales without Telltale.
That was revealed during the Gearbox presentation at Pax East in Boston. The game is published by 2K and developed by Gearbox. This project has been secretly worked on for years. In the game, players get to work with new characters and new stories.

The first Tales of the Borderlands was released in 2014 and was still being developed by Telltale Games. That studio went bankrupt in November 2018. The game was based on Borderlands 2 and took players through the story in five episodes. It is not yet known what the new game will be about.
