Fast Travel Games is working on a virtual reality spin-off of their city builder Cities: Skylines, called Cities: VR.

The VR version lets players walk around their own city like some sort of monstrously tall person. Roads can be built with VR controllers.

Despite the different approach, Cities: VR has to transfer “important gameplay elements” from Cities: Skylines. The first trailer can be seen below.

The game is not being developed by Colossal Order, the studio behind Cities: Skylines, but by Fast Travel Games. That is the developer of VR games like Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife and Budget Cuts 2.

The game has only been confirmed for the Oculus Quest 2 in the spring of 2022 for now.
