From November 30, Oddworld: Soulstorm Enhanced Edition will be available on consoles and PC.

Oddworld Inhabitants announced that. The game will cost about 40 euros, but will be confirmed as a free upgrade for people who already have Oddworld: Soulstorm. The game will be released on Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, and Xbox One.

The Enhanced Edition should “dramatically improve” the gameplay mechanics of the game, according to the developer. There are also noticeable improvements in the audio and animations, as well as improved AI and new content.

The new content includes a ‘challenge mode’. Xbox gamers will also get to play a number of classic puzzle levels in the form of Vykkers Labs, while players of the PlayStation and Epic Games Store versions can experience Toby’s Escape, again featuring a number of puzzle levels based on classic Oddworld gameplay.

Oddworld: Soulstorm is set after New ‘N Tasty and revolves around Abe’s image as a hero and his chance to change the world. The gameplay consists largely of platforms, but also has light RPG elements. The game is a loose remake of the original Oddworld sequel Abe’s Exoddus, but also partly tells a new story.
