Rockstar has officially announced Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition.
The collection includes Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Rockstar says the games have been updated for modern platforms and include various visual improvements and other tweaks. However, the classic “look and feel” of the trilogy must be preserved.
The collection will come to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (via the Rockstar Games Launcher) sometime this year. The collection will also come to iOS and Android sometime in the first half of 2022. The existing versions of GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas will be pulled from digital stores next week.
There have been several rumors surrounding the collection in recent months. According to those rumors, the games run on the Unreal Engine and are being developed by Rockstar Dundee.
