The open beta of Diablo 2: Resurrected will be held this weekend.
The beta has been running for almost a week for people who pre-ordered the game or received a code via Twitch, but this weekend the beta can be played by everyone. Both the single player and multiplayer modes can be tested. In addition, there is cross-progression between the PC and console versions.
The open beta begins on August 20 at 7:00 PM on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, and Xbox One. It ends on August 23 at 7:00 PM. You can already install the beta from today.
In the open beta, five different classes are playable (Barbarian, Druid, Amazon, Sorceress, and Paladin). Assassin and Necromancer will also be added upon release of the game. In the beta, the first two acts from the game are playable.
Diablo 2: Resurrected, out September 23, includes both the main game and the Lord of Destruction expansion. Players can expect improved animations and effects, dynamic lighting and 4K resolution. The game is being developed by Blizzard in partnership with Vicarious Visions and will be released for PC, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The latter console is not part of the beta period.
