Polish developer Creative Forge Games has announced a new Stargate game called Stargate: Timekeepers.
The game is being developed for PC and contains a lot of real-time strategy elements. Publisher Slitherine has already placed a teaser trailer online.
The short video does not contain any gameplay footage, but it does have the wonderful 90’s atmosphere. The game takes place after Season 7 of Stargate SG-1 and tells the story of Commander Eva McCain and her team. McCain and her team are on a mission to defend the SG-1 against a massive fleet of Anubis.
Stargate games have not always been successful in the past. For example, in 2010 the developer behind the MMO Stargate went bankrupt, and the servers of the shooting game Stargate: Resistance closed after a year.
