In Deathloop, players arrive on a lawless island called Blackreef. They are trapped in a kind of loop where the day repeats itself, unless one kills the eight targets in the correct order in one day. The goal is to find the targets, keep the order and break the loop.

Deathloop is being developed by Arkane Studios, the developer of games such as Dishonored and Prey. The studio is part of Bethesda and thus ZeniMax, which will soon be taken over by Microsoft. However, the game is exclusive on PlayStation 5 on consoles for a year, as that deal was already struck before the takeover. The game is coming to PS5 and Steam on May 21.
