Some side quests trigger instantly when completing the previous one from the questline, for others you must return to the Safehouse and talk to the quest giver again. If the next quest isn’t available, do quests for someone else at the Safehouse until new quests appear (or exit to Main Menu and return). Once you’ve accepted a quest make sure to track it in the Missions Menu to see the waypoints on the map.

Here are the side quests of Kaitlin’s questline leading up to this trophy:

  1. Kaitlin – Out of Stock
  2. Katilin – Deal Breaker

A Dish Best Served Cold

Complete a Revenge Mission

Over the course of the game some of your team members will randomly get kidnapped. This unlocks a “Revenge Mission” to free them. Having a large team of 20+ Operatives helps. The more Operatives you have, the higher the odds someone will get abducted at some point.

Once the Revenge Mission triggers you get a prompt on the screen that says “Mission Started”. It will also show up under Missions > Side Missions. These Missions stay permanently and aren’t time-sensitive. Simply track the quest from the Missions Menu and complete it.

Making Friends

Recruit an Operative after completing “Reporting For Duty”

“Reporting for Duty” is one of the first few main missions after the Prologue. It’s a mission that makes you recruit a Construction Worker for story purposes. After you finished this quest, go recruit any random person to unlock this trophy.

To recruit new people:

  1. Walk up to a person and hold  to scan them
  2. Hold  to save them to recruits
  3. Open the Team Menu, scroll over the recruit and press  to start their Recruitment Mission
  4. Complete the Recruitment Mission and they will join your Team, thus becoming playable Characters
  5. For people who dislike DedSec (Albion / Kelley / Royal Guard), you need to buy the Deep Profiler Upgrade from the Tech Menu. It allows you to see clues after saving those people to the recruits, doing the clues will unlock their recruitment quest.

Also, you automatically get recruits from turning boroughs defiant.

Rise Up

Turn one borough into Defiant state

Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks very early into the game after mission “Clarion Call” when you’ve turned Camden district defiant. See trophy “Take Back London” for further information on other districts.

Take Back London

Turn all the boroughs into Defiant state

There are 8 boroughs: City of Westminster, Camden, City of London, Islington & Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Southwark, Lambeth, Nine Elms.

You turn them defiant by doing the 3-4 Oppression Defiance Challenges (Borough Activities) marked red on the map. After doing all of these in one district it unlocks a unique Borough Mission. Doing that Mission will turn the borough defiant.

And Stay Down

Defeat a DedSec Adversary

Let one of your operatives get killed by an enemy. Your killer will become your team’s “Adversary”. Return to your place of death with any team member immediately and your killer should show the red text “Adversary” next to their health bar. Kill this enemy and the trophy will unlock. See the image below for what an Adversary looks like. Should no Adversary spawn, get some more of your operatives killed and keep returning to the place of death until an Adversary spawns.

Every Walk of Life

Have a team of 20 Operatives with different occupations

When you walk up to a person and hold  it shows you their occupation. Recruit 20 people with different occupations. The tracking on this trophy may not work correctly and you may need to recruit more than 20 people. Make sure you select each new Recruit from the Team Menu to talk to them. This helps to make them count correctly. Also make sure they really all have different occupations. If the trophy doesn’t unlock at 20 just keep recruiting a few more people until it unlocks (when your team is full just throw someone out and recruit a new one).

How to recruit people:

Do this first so you don’t need to play as many recruitment missions.

Meta-Gaming

Recruit a Video Game Designer

Video Game Designers are found randomly in the open world. They spawn more frequently at day. Walk around town and scan everyone with :l1: to see their occupation. It’s quite random and can take a while to find one. It’s just luck.

It may also help to play as a Video Game Developer to improve their spawn rate. This isn’t 100% confirmed but it worked for some people (however, might be coincidence). So if you see a Video Game Developer, recruit them and switch to that character.

There are some spots where Video Game Designers have fixed spawns, but they won’t show up there each day. Below are two locations that can spawn them. The best method is to check those spots each in-game day at the noted times (the time of day is very important, because they move around and go to work at other times).

Possible Location #1: In the north of Lambeth, one Video Game Designer can spawn here between 7:00AM – 8:00AM

Possible Location #2: In the north of Camden, at a street corner outside King’s Cross Station, between two Underground Entrances marked on the map. Can spawn between 15:00 – 16:00

When you check both spots each in-game day (ideally also playing as a Video Game Developer) you should get lucky eventually, or just go around town scanning everyone you see at daytime until you get lucky.

With some luck you might even get a Video Game Designer on the initial character selection screen after the Prologue so watch out when selecting your first character.

Down To The Wire

Perform 5 stealth takedowns with a Professional Hitman

This requires someone with the job “Professional Hitman”. The easiest method is to turn the borough “Nine Elms” defiant It will always give you a Professional Hitman. Now head to a restricted (red) area that has Albion enemies. Sneak up to them from behind and do a melee stealth takedown. What makes this unique is that the Hitman uses a wire to choke out enemies which other agents don’t have.

Death From Above

Kill 5 Albion guards using Dive Bomb

People with the job “Drone Expert” have the “Dive Bomb” skill. The easiest method is to turn the borough of “Lambeth” defiant. It will always give you a recruit with the Dive Bomb skill. Select the Dive Bomb skill from the item wheel and press  to use it against enemies of the Albion faction. Either go to a restricted (red) area that has Albion enemies, or simply start a police chase and defeat policemen with it

NO NOT THE BEES

Neutralize 10 Albion guards using Bee Swarms

People with the job “Beekeeper” have the “Bee Swarm” skill. The easiest method is to turn the borough “City of London” defiant. It will always give you a recruit with the Bee Swarm skill. Select the Bee Swarm skill from the item wheel, hold  to aim at up to 3 enemies and release the button to release the bees. Some of the tougher enemies it won’t kill right away but you can weaken them up beforehand. Just kill 10 enemies of the Albion faction with this skill. Either go to a restricted (red) area that has Albion enemies, or simply start a police chase and defeat policemen with it

Hack The Planet

Propagate a hack across 8 targets at once

People with the job “Hacker” have the “Viral Hacking” skill that makes this trophy possible. You automatically unlock a Hacker after main mission “Clarion Call”. It’s one of the first main missions, very early in the game (the one that makes you liberate the borough of Camden). Select that Hacker from your team.

Method 1: At daytime head to Trafalgar Square in the City of Westminster (see location screenshot below). There are almost always 8+ protesters standing close together at the stairs in the middle of Trafalgar Square. Of course any other group of 8+ people who are walking close together on the sidewalk will do too. Now hold down (keep holding it) and then hold (keep holding  + at the same time). This will do a “Distraction”. Because your Hacker has the Viral Hacking skill it will spread to everyone nearby and not just one person! If it spreads to 8 people you get the trophy. Just make sure you hold the buttons and don’t just tap them. Tapping them just quickly will only impact one person. Holding the buttons will trigger the Viral Hacking skill so it affects everyone. That’s what unlocks the trophy.

Method 2: An alternative strategy is to hack 8 cars simultaneously. The only trouble is that stolen cars will self-drive away after a short time. One method would be to build a traffic jam (block the street) to get enough cars close together. But an even easier method is to go to the parking lot behind Buckingham Palace (south-west of Westminster). There are always 8+ cars parked there. Just park 8 of them close together, they won’t self-drive away because they were in parking mode. Hold and then hold one of the displayed buttons (e.g.  ) to make all cars drive at the same time. If you don’t get enough people to spawn this is a good alternative. You could even drive cars into a restricted area with a gate and park them there (open/close the gate), this way they can’t self-drive away

Shaken Not Stirred

Disable weapons of 5 Albion guards at once using the Spy Watch Gadget

People with the job “Spy” have the “Spy Watch” skill. The easiest method is to turn the borough of “City of Westminster” defiant. It will always give you a recruit with the Spy Watch skill. Select the Spy from your team and start a police chase. A good place to do this is at the pub outside your DedSec safehouse. Just bring up the wanted level and wait for a lot of police to arrive. You can hide inside the pub for cover. When a lot of police have arrived and are close together outside the pub you select the Spy Watch from the item wheel and press to use it. If enough police are close enough to you it will unlock the trophy. If you don’t get it first try, just raise the wanted level some more and wait for the Spy Watch to cool down. You can use it again after a short period.

Power To The People

Have your followers neutralize a total of 3 Albion guards

People with the job “Football Hooligan” have the “Rally Cry” skill. The easiest method is to turn the borough of “Islington & Hackney” defiant. It will always give you a recruit with the Rally Cry skill. Select the Football Hooligan from your team and go to a restricted (red) area that has Albion enemies. Before entering the restricted area, open your item wheel and select the Rally Cry ability (you can’t spawn them while inside the restricted area). It will spawn 3 Hooligans who will follow you. Just walk up to some Albion enemies and let your followers defeat them. An easy trick is to distract an enemy by pressing on them, this allows your followers to do an instant takedown. You can also weaken up the enemies yourself by punching them a few times. Avoid firing your weapon, doing so would make your followers run away! If any gunfire breaks out they will run off, so avoid that. The counting for this trophy may be a bit off or it doesn’t count every Albion enemy as “Albion guards”. It took me quite a bit more than 3 to unlock the trophy. I did it at the restricted area “Royal Courts of Justice” in City of Westminster, but any restricted area that shows Uniformed Access for Albion should do.

Paint Me Like One of Your…

Stun Clan Kelley members 5 times with paintball gun headshots

For this trophy you need to recruit someone with the occupations Street Artist / Artist / Illustrator / Muralist. Those people have a paintball gun in their inventory. Just walk around holding  until you find one of them. They are random spawns so it takes some luck and patience.

Once you have recruited a character with a paintball gun, go to one of the red outlined areas in Islington & Hackney. Those areas are all occupied by Clan Kelley members. Shoot them in the head using the paintball gun, 5 times total.

The below area has a good chance of spawning Street Artists, seen at night from 23:00 – 5:00 spraying graffiti at walls and Artists. But they can also spawn anywhere else.

Throw The Book At Them

Perform 5 arrest takedowns

For this you need an Albion Contractor or a Policeman that has the “Handcuffs” in their item wheel. The easiest method to recruit one of them is to finish Main Mission “Inside Albion”. This Story Mission forces you to recruit an Albion Contractor automatically. That one should have the Handcuffs skill in the item wheel.

In case you want to do it earlier, or if for some reason your story-related Albion Guard doesn’t have Handcuffs, you can recruit one in the open world (they drive around in police cars but are also found at hostile areas outlined in red on the map). Hold to view the Albion Contractor / Policeman and to save to Recruits. In order to start the recruitment you must have the “Deep Profiler” upgrade from the Tech Menu. Then you can scroll over the Policeman in the Team Menu and press  to scan him for clues to unlock his recruitment mission. Because Policeman and Albion Contractors dislike DedSec they cannot be recruited right away, so you must have the Deep Profiler to unlock their Recruitment Clues (same process used to get “The Royal Tour” trophy).

Once you have a Policeman with Handcuffs skill, toggle on the Handcuffs from the item wheel and walk up to people from behind. You’ll see a button prompt to arrest them. It doesn’t work when walking up to them from the front.

The Royal Tour

Enter Buckingham Palace’s restricted area disguised as a Royal Guard

Step 1: Buy the Deep Profiler upgrade from the Tech Menu (costs 25 Tech Points).

Step 2: Go to Buckingham Palace in the west “City of Westminster” borough. Scan the Royal Guards (red coats) in the restricted area of the Buckingham Palace and  save them to recruits.

Step 3: In Team Menu use Deep Profiler on the Royal Guard, press on him.

Step 4: This will bring up a menu with clues for Recruitment Leads. Select  one of the Recruitment Leads. This will automatically mark it on the map via a blue magnifying glass icon.

Step 5: Complete the Recruitment Lead. It’s usually just a quick hack of someone’s phone or getting / deleting some other type of data by hacking it. After doing this it will show “Recruitment Mission Started” on the screen.

Step 6: Complete the Recruitment Mission for the Royal Guard. You can either scroll over him in the Team Menu and press  to view the mission, or find it in the Mission Menu. Make sure you actively track it to get the golden quest marker for it on the map. After completing this mission the Royal Guard will join your team and becomes a playable character. Simply select him from the Team Menu.

Step 7: Return to Buckingham Palace in City of Westminster and walk into the restricted (red) area while playing as the Royal Guard.

You Don’t See Me!

Escape a Pursuit Level 5 doing a Statue Emote

For this trophy you need to recruit someone with the occupation Living Statue. They spawn most regularly during day between 10:00 – 16:00 at popular tourist areas and along marina promenades. While it’s random where exactly they spawn, there are some areas that have a better chance to spawn them:

Possible Spawn #1: Millenium Wheel, between 10:00 – 16:00

Possible Spawn #2: At the Marina Walk at the western border of Lambeth. They tend to spawn quite frequently here between 10:00 – 16:00

Just keep checking these areas each in-game day until one of those guys spawns. They spawn somewhere else each day. Remember it has to be daytime, 10:00 – 16:00. They don’t spawn after 16:00 because that’s when their work shift ends.

After recruiting a Statue Man, select him from the Team Menu, cause some havoc to rack up a 5 star police chase, then use the Statue Emote to lose the police.

Could’ve Made National

Complete Kick up challenge intermediate 1

First you must go to one of the Kick-Up Locations which are marked by a blue football icon on the map.

You must complete the 6 beginner rounds and then the first intermediate round. Kick-Up is a QTE minigame in which you must press the buttons that are shown on-screen. Delay the button press until it’s in the green or purple zone, you will see a circle around the button – press when it’s in the green/purple part for more points.

Bullseye

Complete a Darts game in every Darts location

There are 21 Darts locations across the city. You will need to play a game I played Solo but it shouldn’t matter in all of them. Try to do it with the same operative as there might be some tracking issues.

They won’t show on the map unless you drive really close to them and there’s also no tracker.

Piece de Resistance

Complete a Paste Up in every Paste Up location

There are 47 Paste-Up locations. Try using a Cargo Drone so you can reach these locations easily. Even though I didn’t have issues myself for this one, try to do them all with the same operative.

Bottom’s Up

Drink at least once in every Drink location

There are 26 Drink locations across the city. You just need to drink once in all of them. Try to do it with the same operative as there might be some tracking issues.

DedSec Delivery

Complete 20 Parcel Fox Delivery Missions

Parcel Fox Delivery Missions are marked on the map by a blue fox icon . They get marked automatically as you unfog the map.

These are very simple parcel deliveries where you drive a package from Point A to Point B. There’s an infinite amount of them as they keep respawning forever and never run out.

There are 3 types: Timed (Delivery can time out) / Fragile (parcel destroyed if it takes too much damage) / Contraband (parcel attracts police attention). Just get a really fast sports car before starting the delivery to save time. Each time you interact with the delivery box the deliveries change, so if you don’t like what you get just interact with the delivery box a few times in a row.

All About Aesthetic

Buy a Weapon Skin

Open the Team Menu > Press “Edit” on any character > scroll over any weapon and press “Edit” > press  “Skins” > press to purchase any skin. Pick the cheapest one, you’ll need to spend 100,000 money on clothes for “Fresh Threads” so don’t waste anything on expensive skins.

Re-Wrap My Whip

Buy a Vehicle Paint

First you must recruit someone who has their own vehicle. Don’t worry about this, you will automatically get a few people with cars while liberating all boroughs.

Now open the Team Menu > Press “Edit” on any character > scroll over any car and press “Edit” > press  “Change Paint Job” > press to purchase any skin. Pick the cheapest one, you’ll need to spend 100,000 money on clothes for “Fresh Threads” so don’t waste anything on expensive paint.

Fresh Threads

Spend 100 000 ETO on Clothes in shops

Shops are marked by blue icons on the map. They get marked automatically as you unfog the map. ETO is the currency in Watch Dogs Legion.

100,000 ETO is actually quite a lot. You should get to 100,000 by doing all other trophies. It’s highly recommended you don’t spend any money until you have 100,000 total. This makes it easier to keep track. It’s best you spend 100,000 in one go using the same character. Some trophies have tracking issues when doing them across different characters so don’t take any risks. Also don’t spend excessive amounts on Weapon Skins or Car Paints! When spending money on Clothes it also counts accessories such as Hats, Glasses, Facewear, Bags.

You get around 35,000 from the Story. Roughly 30,000 comes from Side Quests. While working on all Drinks & Darts Games for trophies “Bottom’s Up” & “Bullseye” you will visit 25 pubs. They have red safes which contain around 1,000 each, so that’s another 25,000 or so. This brings us to 90,000. For the rest, you can collect the ETO Collectibles marked on the map by gray icons (must fully zoom in map). These automatically get marked as you unfog the map. You can also find more red safes in most of the hostile areas (outlined in red on the map).

Another trick is to play as a Hacker (you get one automatically during story). Hackers have the Viral Hacking perk. Walk around town and use Viral Hacking on people. Hold :l1: and hold :x: simultaneously. By holding the buttons while having the Viral Hacking perk it will hack everyone near you and not just one person! This drains some ETO from their bank account into yours. If you have enough people around you, it can yield around 60 ETO every few seconds. This is a repeatable method that allows you to get as much money as you want. But doing this alone would take up a lot of time, hence you should do all other trophies first to get enough money.

Here’s another easy AFK Method: Get someone with the Living Statue emote , park an Ambulance or other tall vehicle where people can’t push you, climb on it and use the Living Statue emote in a place where lots of people are walking by. You get 5 ETO for everyone who walks by. The reason to stand on top of a tall vehicle is that pedestrians will sometimes push you (because they don’t like DedSec or randomly walk into you), which would break up the Living Statue emote. By standing on a vehicle they can’t reach you so you can use the Emote infinitely. I got around 2000 ETO per hour doing this. You can just leave on your console overnight, get 8 hours of a good night’s rest and wake up with 16,000 ETO more than you had before.

Note: It is recommended to make a manual backup before spending all your money. PS4 Settings > Application Saved Data Management > Copy to USB or PS Plus. Just in case the trophy doesn’t unlock for some reason this gives you a way to copy back your save.

Fully Kitted

Unlock all Upgrades

Upgrades can be unlocked in the “Tech” Menu. You must buy all upgrades for all the skills listed there (all 3 upgrades for all 24 skills). This includes all Gadgets, Upgrades, Weapons.

To buy upgrades you need Skill Points. You need a little over 1300 Skill Points for all upgrades. There are 130 Tech Points in the Open World, each gives you 10 Skill Points. That’s 1300 Skill Points total. But you also get 300 Skill Points automatically from the Story (unmissable rewards).

The best method is to play through the story first. This allows you to skip 30 Tech Point Locations in the open world, so if you get stuck on one you can move on to the next (roughly 100/130 are needed). The Tech Point Locations get marked on your map after turning the boroughs defiant. See trophy “Take Back London” on how to turn them all defiant.

Locked And Loaded

Purchase all the upgrades for every weapon

You unlock this automatically while working on “Fully Kitted”. For this trophy you only need the weapon related upgrades which are the LT 68P DedSec Pistol, MP9 DedSec SMG, LTL SG and  DedSec Grenade Launcher.

Oral History

Collect 50 Audio Logs

ou get around 35 Audio Logs automatically from the Story & Side Quests (automatic rewards). The rest you can find in the open world. There are many more than you need for this trophy. Only 50 are needed and it counts the ones from Story & Side Quests, too.

On the world map they get marked by a gray speaker icon (must fully zoom in on map). They get marked automatically as you unfog the map. You can keep track of how many you’ve found via the Data Menu.

Simply get the 35+ from Story & Side Quests, then keep collecting them in the open world until the trophy pops. Since they all get marked automatically just by uncovering the map they are easy to locate.

Magpie

Collect 15 Relics

You get 12 Relics automatically from the Story. After the story simply get another 3 Relics in the open world. It only counts “full Relics” and not single Relic Pieces. Some Relics consists of 4-5 pieces that form 1 full Relic. Only those full Relics counts towards the trophy.

On the world map they get marked by a gray chest icon  but you need to fully zoom in on map. They get marked automatically as you unfog the map.

Since they all get marked automatically just by uncovering the map they are very easy to locate.
