The highly anticipated Harry Potter game from Warner Bros. Interactive is set to release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in the fall of 2021.

Bloomberg claims this in a new report. The game is said to be in development at Avalanche Software, not to be confused with Just Cause developer Avalanche Studios. In addition to the next-gen consoles, the game would also come to other systems next fall, although it is not known exactly which systems are involved.

Images from the Harry Potter game leaked in 2018. According to Bloomberg, the video is authentic, but few of the rumors that have come out about the game since then are accurate.

Bloomberg claims that the developers of the game are shocked by the transphobic statements of Harry Potter writer J.K. Rowling. This would have prompted internal discussions between developers. However, the writer is hardly involved in the development of the game.

Warner Bros. would have planned to announce the game at a press conference during E3 2020. However, E3 2020 was canceled due to the coronavirus. Warner Bros. would like to unveil a new Batman game during DC FanDome on August 22 and the Harry Potter game at an unknown later date.
