Blizzard has released a new short story called Valkyrie. In the story you can read how Mercy went through her life after the collapse of Overwatch.
Valkyrie is set in Egypt and continues where the comic strip of Overwatch hero Ana ended. The story is told from the perspective of Dr. Angela Ziegler, better known as Mercy.
Mercy discusses her experiences as an Overwatch agent and also explains why she was forced to stop this. As used to from Blizzard, a number of famous heroes pass by. For example, she talks about former colleague Genji who is looking for his brother Hanzo (Which is a reference to the short video Dragons).
At the end of the comic we see a picture of a Mercy outfit that we have not seen before. Perhaps this is a new skin.
It seems that the different short stories of Overwatch come together and start to introduce an Overwatch 2 character together. However, it will take a while before we can get started with the next part of the tactical shooter, as it has just been announced.
