Welcome to the Death Stranding Trophy Guide! Death Stranding is not a hard platinum, but a time-consuming one. The one trophy that makes it long is “Best Beloved” for maxing out all facilities. This means doing lots of deliveries for them. The biggest help to cut down on time is to make use of Ziplines which are unlocked later in the game and let you zip from one line to the next without being slowed by your cargo. Luckily, there are no missable trophies. The list consists of some story trophies, crafting, 56 collectibles, and deliveries. There is a difficulty-related gold trophy “Growth of a Legend” which requires you to play on Hard. Fortunately, outside of combat the difficulty doesn’t matter so it’s really not as bad as it sounds (pretty much the same as Very Easy difficulty). Most of your time will be spent maxing out all facilities. The Story takes 40 hours or so, depending on how many side deliveries you do along the way. Everything is still doable after the story in free-roam.

The first step is to play through the story. It’s recommended you play on Hard difficulty because it’s mandatory to get “Legend of Legends” S-Rank in Premium Deliveries (Trophy: Growth of a Legend). You can’t get this rank on Normal or lower difficulties. For enemy encounters and boss fights you can switch to Very Easy in the game options. You can change the difficulty whenever you want and as often as you want, it doesn’t void anything. Nothing in this game is missable.

Difficulty only affects enemy encounters (of which there are very few). For actual deliveries (which make up 99% of the game) there is no noticeable difference between “Very Easy” and “Hard”. Hard difficulty is really not hard at all. Feel free to switch between Very Easy and Hard to try it out and you won’t notice a difference during Deliveries. You can switch difficulties at any time.

Enjoy the Story how you wish. It’s highly recommended you do all “Orders for Sam” (Primary Quests) and not just the mandatory story ones (that have an orange glow behind their name). These are all pretty important as they lead to new UCA Facilities. You can also do some Side Deliveries to level up Facilities but it’s more time-effective to build out a zipline network first and come back after the story.

This brings us to the biggest time savers to turn this from a 250h plat to a 125h plat: In the early game, frequently use vehicles (faster than walking) until you unlock Ziplines (story-related). Always carry a few “PCC Lv. 2” crafting items to build out a Zipline network. The ziplines let you travel immediately from one Zipline to the next and will save you well over 100 hours towards platinum. You won’t have to walk anywhere and BTs (the ghostly enemies) can’t reach you while on a Zipline. Prioritize Ziplines early on and you will save a lot of time later. The only limiting thing is that when going to new areas you can’t put ziplines there until you connected the area to the UCA network. You do a lot of backtracking in the story though, so when you do, you can place more ziplines on your way back.

Playing through the Story takes roughly 40 hours, more or less depending on how many side orders you do.

After the story, open the map and press :r3: to see what facilities you haven’t found yet (they will be greyed out). There are 39 facilities. You get most of them automatically from the story.

Now level them all up to 5 stars (Trophy: Best Beloved) and combine it with the 80 Premium Deliveries. See trophy “Growth of a Legend” for a detailed explanation.

For this step you have to play on Hard Difficulty! That’s because “Legend of Legends” S-Ranks aren’t obtainable on Normal or lower difficulties. After the story there are no more forced enemy encounters so Hard difficulty is no different from Very Easy. For Deliveries you won’t notice a difference between the difficulties.

Make sure you have a good network of Ziplines put in place between the facilities you want to level. Also play online so you see the Ziplines of other players and don’t have to use up your Chiral Bandwith (this is a “feature” that limits how many structures you can have on the map at the same time). Since online structures don’t cost you Chiral Bandwith, they are very good to have around.

Maxing out all 39 facilities is by far the most time-consuming task. Some facilities (like Veteran Porter, First Prepper, Mountain Knot City) take countless deliveries to max out. It’s best to focus on the huge deliveries with 300kg weight or more. Those reward you a lot more likes than multiple small deliveries would. Because you travel by zipline the weight won’t slow you down.

This step takes about 70-130 hours. 70h if you travel by Zipline almost exclusively, 130h if you don’t have an effective zipline network that connects all facilities.

There are 56 Memory Chips. They are the Collectibles in Death Stranding. You can’t get certain Memory Chips until you leveled up their nearest facilities. Then you get an email from the facility manager telling you about “a shiny object”. Reading that email makes the collectible spawn in the game.

Because you leveled up all facilities in Step 2, you now have access to all emails to make the collectibles spawn. You also get the last missing fabrication plan for “Homo Faber” from Memory Chip #31.

At this point you will have gotten almost all trophies naturally while maxing out the 39 facilities. And because you got the Collectibles done you also have all fabrication plans. That should only leave you with a few structure building trophies (fully upgrade all structures, craft all equipment). Those won’t take long, now that you got lots of resources from the fully-leveled facilities.

Greatest of Great Deliverers

Obtained all Death Stranding trophies.

Everyday Delivery

Complete a standard order.

See trophy “Deliveries Done”.

Deliveries Done

Complete 36 standard orders.

You unlock standard orders after completing the mandatory story order “[Order No. 9] Power Supply Unit Delivery: Wind Farm”. They can then be selected from Terminals. They are delivery quests just like normal main missions, with the difference being that they are optional. They’re the game’s version of side quests. These standard orders can frequently be combined with story-related deliveries. While going for trophy “Best Beloved”,maxing out relationship with all facilities, you will have to do hundreds of standard orders so this will come naturally along the way.

None of these orders are missable. They keep respawning infinitely after the story so you can never run out of orders. For this trophy you should do 36 different orders to ensure it counts Keep in mind that doing the same order multiple times may not count.

You can keep track of this under: World Map  > D-Pad Left > Bridge Links > Cross on your PSN ID > Orders > Orders Completed > Standard Orders.

Birth of a Legend

Complete 10 premium deliveries with an evaluation of “Legend” or “Legend of Legends” in every single category.

See gold trophy “Growth of a Legend”.

Growth of a Legend

Complete 20 premium deliveries with an evaluation of “Legend of Legends” in all categories.

This trophy is a lot more complicated than it sounds so we’ll break it down into multiple parts:

Pre-Requisites:

You unlock Premium Deliveries when completing the mandatory story mission “[Order No. 24] Prototype Bot Delivery: Distribution Center South of Lake Knot” (Episode 3). This cannot be missed.

Now at any terminal press Cross on a Standard Order, then D-Pad Right to “Select Premium Delivery”. These have stricter requirements.

Here’s the most important part: You HAVE TO play on HARD DIFFICULTY and get an “S” Rank in the Mission Reward Screen to get “Legend of Legends” rating!

On normal difficulty you are limited to “Legend” ranking. On lower difficulties you can’t even get “Legend”.

For this trophy we need “Legend of Legends” so only S-Ranks on Hard Difficulty count. Luckily, the difficulty makes absolutely no difference to deliveries whatsoever. Hard and Very Easy are identical for deliveries. Only at story bosses / enemies you receive more damage and they can withstand more damage, but you don’t have any such encounters during deliveries. For the actual transporting there’s no difference. Therefore, it’s recommended to play on Hard difficulty at all times (only reduce to Very Easy for boss battles, doesn’t void the trophy).

Here’s where the trophy description gets a bit confusing: you must get 20 Legend of Legend Ranks in each of the 4 categories, Condition-focused, Quantity-focused, Miscellaneous-focused, Delivery-time-focused. That means 80 LoL Ranks total,20 x 4 categories = 80.

A Helping Hand

Issue your first supply request.

Online Trophy

You must be logged into the online servers for this to work. Then press Options-Button  > D-Pad Left > SUPPLY REQUESTS. Select an item and destination. This posts an order request to other online players and they can deliver you the requested item. Just posting the supply request is enough to unlock the trophy so doesn’t have to be completed. Supply Requests unlock in Episode 2, after completing [Order No. 10] and arriving at the Wind Farm.

The Automation Revolution

Complete a standard order with a delivery bot.

You unlock Bot-Deliveries automatically when completing the mandatory story mission “[Order No. 24] Prototype Bot Delivery: Distribution Center South of Lake Knot” in Episode 3.

After this, access any terminal and choose “Standard Orders (Bot-deliverable)”. It will take the bot some time to complete, usually around 1 hour. After the time has passed, the mission won’t complete instantly. Instead, it will complete when you finish another order or access a terminal. Once you see the order rewards screen of the bot delivery, the trophy will unlock.

Apprentice Builder

Build your first structure (signs, ladders, and climbing anchors also count.)

This will come naturally early on. The easiest way is to place a sign, marker for other players. You are told how to do this during Order No. 4 in Story Episode 2. Hold L1 and press Triangle to select a sign. It doesn’t cost anything and can be done at any place, doesn’t matter what sign you choose.

Master Builder

Build at least one of every type of structure (including signs, ladders, and climbing anchors.)

You must build the following structures:

  • Sign
  • Ladder
  • Anchor
  • Generator
  • Watchtower
  • Timefall Shelter
  • Zipline
  • Postbox
  • Bridge
  • Safehouse
  • Road

All of these are automatic story unlocks. You must first craft a PCC, then use it to build those structures (except Ladder and Anchor, those can directly be crafted at terminals).

The Bridge and Safehouse you build during the tutorial missions “[Order No. 10] Construction: Bridge” & “[Order No. 27] Chiralium Gauge Delivery: Weather Station” don’t count. You must build those again using a PCC somewhere else. The Road from tutorial mission “[Order No. 25] Road Reconstruction” counted for me and I didn’t have to build another Road. But just in case the trophy doesn’t pop, build out another road segment somewhere.

If you don’t want to waste resources, you can make a manual save beforehand, use the materials from facilities, go to terminal > “Claim Materials”, build structures for trophy and reload manual save.

Well Connected

Reach connection level three with a facility.

Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Each facility has 5 levels shown as stars on the map and mission reward screen. You increase the level by doing delivery orders for that facility. Because of how many orders you must complete for various camps as part of the story, this will come automatically.

Best Beloved

Reach the maximum connection level with all facilities.

This is an endgame trophy, it’s best you finish the story first.

There are 39 UCA Facilities. You must level them all up to 5 stars for this trophy. This is purely based on the number of likes they have given you. You get likes from a facility by making a delivery to them. The more weight the cargo has, the more likes you usually get. Getting S-Ranks on Premium Deliveries on Hard Difficulty is the best combination for extra likes. Each facility requires a different amount of likes (more or fewer deliveries).

It’s best to focus on heavy deliveries that give hundreds of likes at once. Go for Standard Orders and select the Premium Variant, don’t waste your time looking for Lost Cargo. Standard Orders show you how many likes they will give and can be combined with Legend of Legends Rank for gold trophy “Growth of a Legend”.

The most important part is that you have a really good Zipline Network put in place between the facilities you want to level. Then you can quickly zip from one line to the next without having to walk. You won’t be slowed down by your cargo and don’t run into any enemies or BTs.

To see which facilities you found, press R3 twice on the map.

Some facilities will appear to “get stuck” at certain points, especially Veteran Porter, Mountain Knot City and First Prepper. This is completely normal. Just keep bringing them deliveries. But also make sure you read their emails and sleep in a private room to advance time, this can help to “update” your ranking with a facility. For example, getting Veteran Porter from Level 2 to Level 3 can take 20-30 Deliveries. Just keep bringing them stuff and they will be impressed by your efforts and level up. If you discovered a facility but there are seemingly no orders for it, try Lost Cargo to level them up and make sure you didn’t overlook an “Order for Sam”.

Giver of Gifts

Make your first donation of weapons, equipment, etc.

Online Trophy

For this you need to be online and connected to the Death Stranding Servers. Go to any terminal (the ones where you accept orders, found at any facility). Interact with the Terminal > Share Locker > Donate Weapons & Equipment > Select an item and hold Cross to confirm. This will remove the item from your game and makes it available for other online players to retrieve it. The trophy unlocks immediately after the item has been donated.

Share lockers become available in Episode 2 upon completing [Order No. 04] and reaching the Waystation West of Capital Knot City.

The Post Guides the Present

Read 100 mails.

You get emails from doing 2 things: Story Missions and Leveling Up Facilities.

You get many emails throughout the story but not quite enough to reach 100 total. To get over 100, you must level up facilities. By the time you maxed out all facilities to 5 stars you will have 180 emails or so. Every facility sends you a couple of emails as you level them up. This doesn’t happen instantly though, after you sleep in a private room the emails arrive.

You can read them by opening the world map  > D-Pad Left > Mail > press Cross on the emails.

The Past Guides the Present

Read 100 interviews.

ou get interviews from 3 things: Story Missions, Leveling up Facilities and Memory Chips (Collectibles).

You get many interviews throughout the story but not quite enough to reach 100 total. To get over 100, you must level up facilities and find Memory Chip #54, #55, #56. While you work towards 100% completion for the platinum trophy you’ll automatically get 100 interviews along the way.

You can read them by opening the world map  > D-Pad Left > Data > Interviews.
These provide some interesting backstory to help you understand the story better.

Childminder

Reach maximum connection level with BB.

You automatically increase the connection level with BB over time. This will come automatically on your way to maxing out all facilities to level 5. Just don’t let BB’s health deplete, if that ever happens, quickly find a private room to sleep and restore BB’s health. Other than that you just need to do deliveries and BB’s connection level goes up along the way.

Things that increase connection level with BB:

  • Just walking around & doing deliveries.
  • When in the private room, interact with BB, doing this once per visit is enough, this is optional and even without doing this you’ll max out BB while leveling up all facilities.
  • When BB cries, soothe it (e.g. from water or if Sam fell down somewhere, or if there are BTs nearby). To soothe BB: Hold L1 > D-Pad Down > Square .

Things that reduce connection level with BB:

  • Don’t let BB’s health drop to zero (it goes into shock). To prevent this from happening, always soothe BB when its health gets low!
  • If BB’s health is depleted, the only way to recover is to sleep in a private room as soon as possible. If BB’s health stays depleted, it will weaken your connection level drastically! Reload save or sleep in a private room as soon as possible to recover BB’s health.

Connection level to BB is split into 5 stars. You must reach 5 full stars to get the trophy. You can keep track of this under: World Map  > D-Pad Left > Bridge Links > Cross on your PSN ID > Delivery Stats > BB Connection Level.

A Baby Blessing

Get a Like from BB.

Some quick ways to get likes from BB:

  • In your private room: Look into the mirror at the sink, perform an action with the right stick and snap a picture of Sam.
  • Jumping really far, for example with Speed Skeleton equipped.

Prominent Porter

Reach Grade 10 in any delivery evaluation category.

See trophy “Great Deliverer”.

Catcher Crusher

Defeat a Catcher.

Catchers are the big BTs that you’ll fight when getting grabbed by smaller BTs. You can kill them by throwing grenades at them or using Anti-BT weapons infused with Sam’s blood.

This trophy is actually an unmissable part of the story. At the end of “Episode 2: [Order No. 16]” you’ll have to defeat your first catcher, and you’re also given plenty of grenades for this. Simply press D-Pad Right to open the weapon wheel and select the grenades, then throw it at the Catcher.

Snooze ‘n’ Soothe

Heal by sleeping for the first time.

Offload your cargo by holding Triangle , hold Cirlce to sit and hold Square to sleep. Sam will now rest which heals him and this unlocks the trophy.

Boots Are a Porter’s Best Friend

Change footwear for the first time.

You unlock the crafting recipe for new footwear during Episode 2: “[Order No. 7] Recovery: Chiral Printer Interface”.

After this mission, you can fabricate new boots at any terminal which will cost 8 Resins to make. When you’ve crafted them, exit the terminal and press Options  > D-Pad Left > Cargo > Cross on freshly crafted boots > Put on Footwear. Alternatively, you can also find boots in the world and from enemies.

Hooked on Delivering!?

Deliver 700 items of cargo.

This is guaranteed to come automatically while working on trophy “Best Beloved”. It will take around 2000-2500 pieces of cargo to max out all facilities.

You can keep track of this under: World Map  > D-Pad Left > Bridge Links > Cross on your PSN ID > Orders > Total Pieces of Cargo Delivered.

Pumped Porter

Deliver 3,000 kg of cargo.

This is guaranteed to come automatically while working on trophy “Best Beloved”. It will take around 30,000 – 40,000kg in deliveries to max out all facilities.

Well-Traveled

Travel 80 km and complete an order.

Travel a total combined distance of 80km throughout the entire game. When you complete the next order the trophy will unlock in the reward screen. You don’t have to travel 80km in a single order! This trophy only concerns your total traveled distance. In fact, it’s an automatic story-related trophy and cannot be missed. You’ll travel much further than 80km during the story.

Rest In Pieces

In a BT area, cut an umbilical cord for the first time without the BT noticing.

First you must get the Cord Cutter – it’s an automatic story unlock in Episode 5: [Order No. 46].

Once you got it, go to any BT area and press Square to cut an umbilical cord. Every single BT has an umbilical cord. They become visible when you use the scanner while standing still. BTs show up in rainy areas. After you recruited the Weather Station to the UCA (Episode 2) you can press R3 on the world map to see where it’s raining. You’ll frequently run into BTs though so no need to go out of your way for it.

Any Porter in a Storm

Trade with another porter for the first time.

You find NPC Porters RANDOMLY throughout Central Region. This is completely random. They are groups of 2-3 characters walking around, they show up offline as well as online. These are NPCs and not actual online players!

They are Porters just like Sam and wear a white suit. They most frequently show up in the eastern half of Central Region. They are most frequently encountered at the following facilities: Engineer, Craftsman, Elder, Film Director, Junk Dealer.

Once you randomly encounter these Porters, make sure you give them as many likes as possible with Touchpad. Then open your Cargo Inventory, equip one of your cargo to a hand, and lay the cargo on the floor in front of them. If they’re interested, they’ll pick it up. Give them a few more items until they offer you one of theirs, they will stretch out a hand to offer it to you. Take their offering and the trophy will unlock!

A Shout in the Dark

Send a shout out and have it returned for the first time.

Online Trophy

You must press Touchpad which will call out for other online players. To get the trophy you must hear the voice of another player coming back. This won’t work every single time. Just keep pressing Touchpad in different places throughout the game and it will unlock eventually. It doesn’t work offline because there are no players to answer you. You have to be logged into the Death Stranding Servers.

Public Service Porter

Dispose of chiralium-contaminated cargo in the crater lake for the first time.

Go to the Junk Dealer facility in the Central Region. There are a bunch of contaminated cargo pieces next to his facility. Pick up one of those. Then go to the big tar lake directly south of the Junk Dealer. Equip the contaminated cargo to your right hand, hold R2 > hold Square but let go just when Sam is swinging his arm > then he lets go and throws the cargo into the lake.

Trail-Blazer

Upgrade all types of structure to the maximum level.

You must upgrade the following structures to maximum level:

  • Generator – (PCC Lv. 1) – Level 2: 400 Metals, Level 3: 100 Chiral Crystals, 400 Metals
  • Watchtower – (PCC Lv. 1) – Level 2: 32 Chiral Crystals, 400 Metals – Level 3: 150 Chiral Crystals, 800 Metals
  • Safehouse – (PCC Lv. 2) – Level 1: 300 Chiral Crystals, 2400 Special Alloys – Level 2: 500 Chiral Crystals, 4500 Special Alloys – Level 3: 1000 Chiral Crystals, 6840 Special Alloys
  • Timefall Shelter – (PCC Lv. 1) – Level 2: 32 Chiral Crystals, 400 Metals – Level 3: 300 Chiral Crystals, 1200 Metals
  • Zipline – (PCC Lv. 2) – Level 2: 240 Chemicals, 480 Special Alloys, Level 3: 300 Chiral Crystals, 1440 Chemicals, 1440 Special Alloys
  • Postbox – (PCC Lv. 1) – Level 2: 200 Metals – Level 3: 600 Metals
  • Bridge – (PCC Lv. 1) – Level 1: 800 Metals – Level 2: 96 Chiral Crystals, 1600 Metals – Level 3: 500 Chiral Crystals, 2800 Metals

You do this by going to one of your structures and holding Options-Button > Upgrade Structure. Roads cannot be upgraded and can be ignored for this.

It’s confirmed to work when upgrading your own structures. It’s not confirmed if upgrading other people’s structures counts. To be safe, upgrade your own structures for this.

Easiest way to get it quickly: First create a manual save. Then go to a facility with a private room, go to terminal and click “Claim Materials” > R1 and Cross to select the materials you need. Bring them to your structure to upgrade it. When a facility runs out of materials, fast travel to the next one to build remaining structures and repeat. Afterward, you can reload your previous manual save to get the materials back. You can also recycle other things for additional materials if you’re running low.

All Roads Lead to the UCA

Complete your first road.

You complete your first road as part of “[Order No. 25] Road Reconstruction” in episode 3. You accept this Order from “Lake Knot City” in the Central Region.

Building Bridges

Reach Bridge Link Grade 1.

Online Trophy

You unlock Bridge Links by completing the mandatory story order “[Order No. 9] Power Supply Unit Delivery: Wind Farm” in episode 2. While being logged into the online servers, complete missions and interact with the objects of other players. Give them likes and have other people use your structures. The Bridge Link increases automatically in the mission reward screen as long as you’re connected to the online servers. Only when you complete a delivery it updates your Bridge Link Grade based on how many online likes you got since last delivery.

Homo Faber

Fabricate all available weapons and equipment.

There are 72 items you can fabricate. To get the fabrication plans, simply level up all facilities to 5 stars (see trophy “Best Beloved”) and finish the story. You get 71/72 plans just from that. The only hidden plan is “Reverse Trike: “Ride” Type”. It comes from Memory Chip 31

A New Day for the UCA

Connect your first new affiliate to the UCA

Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. You get this during Episode 2: Order No. 4.

In Sam we Trust

Connect all facilities to the UCA.

There are 39 UCA Facilities that you must find and connect to the UCA Network. They are like Outposts. In order to make them connect to the network, you must level them up by doing deliveries for them. The story makes you connect most Facilities automatically so no need to worry about those. The game is all about going from one facility to the next.

The only optional ones you don’t get from the mandatory story missions, are:

Eastern Region (2 Facilities) – Musician, Ludens Fan
Central Region (6 Facilities) – Peter Englert, Collector, Cosplayer, First Prepper, Veteran Porter, Novelist’s Son.

You can do these after the story by discovering and leveling them. Some are tied to optional Sam Orders, for others you need to bring them Lost Cargo and/or Deliveries. Most will join the UCA when they reach level 2. The trickiest one is Veteran Porter, it will say “Bridges” on the world map for him. When he’s at level 3 he finally joins the UCA. You can check which ones you got by pressing :r3: twice on the world map. The connected facilities will say “UCA” next to them. Anything that’s greyed out or says “Bridges” hasn’t been connected yet.

Like and be Liked

Give your first Like.

Around the world you’ll see objects placed by NPCs or other online players. For example: Ladders, Ropes, Watch Towers etc. Simply press the Touchpad :touchpad: while standing next to one of these to give it a like.

Note: You don’t have to play online or this, if you’re offline there will still be objects placed by NPCs that you can give likes to.

The People’s Porter

Reach a total of 2,400 Likes on the Results Screen.

See trophy “The World’s Most Popular Porter”.

The World’s Most Popular Porter

Reach a total of 50,000 Likes on the Results Screen.

You’ll get this automatically while working on trophies “Great Deliverer” and “Best Beloved”. You get likes mainly from 2 things: Deliveries and Bridge-Link (Online people use your structures / vehicles / you donate to a shared online locker etc).

For this trophy it counts your online + offline likes together. So for example if you have 20,000 offline likes for deliveries and 30,000 online likes, the trophy will unlock. You must finish a mission to trigger the trophy on the rewards screen.

Your total number of likes is displayed on the world map (press Touchpad).

Don’t even worry about this, if you play online you will have 50,000 likes long before finishing the story. Even if you are restricted to offline, you get over over 50,000 likes while leveling up all facilities.

Chiral Crafter

Recycle chiral crystals for the first time.

Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks from Episode 2: [Order No. 8] Collection: Chiral Crystals. It’s a mandatory story order that you accept in “Distribution Center West of Capital Knot City”. During this order you get the ability to harvest Chiral Crystals and are taught how to recycle them, which is simply not possible before this point.

A Thirst for Knowledge

Restore your first memory chip.

See “Fount of Knowledge” for more information.

Fount of Knowledge

Restore all memory chips.

Death Stranding has 56 Memory Chip Locations (Collectibles). Finding all of them unlocks the trophy Fount of Knowledge & A Thirst for Knowledge. Memory Chip #31 is also required for a fabrication plan.

None of the Memory Chips are missable. You can find all of them after the story in free-roam. You can see which collectibles have been found and which are missing by pressing Options-Button > Left > Data > Memory Chips. If you found it, it will have a key icon on it. You still need to decrypt the chips by bringing them to a terminal! Only after decrypting them at a terminal the trophy will unlock!

Before you start collecting the Chips here are a few important things to know:

  • Finish the Story first and build out a zipline network as soon as you unlock PCC Lvl. 2. The ziplines make it quick to reach any place.
  • Level up all facilities to 5 Stars (trophy “Best Beloved”). Make sure you sleep in a private room after you leveled up all facilities and read through all of their emails! Leveling up facilities grants you new emails (after sleeping to pass time). Reading those emails makes some specific Collectibles spawn on the map! You can’t find some collectibles without leveling up their respective facilities first (pointed out in the text guide and video guide below).

If you find a chip during the story or while leveling facilities go ahead and pick it up. This will save you some backtracking later.

  • Use the map to see what is closest together and plan the most effective route.
  • Then refer to the number in the guide below to see the zoomed-in map location and area screenshot.
  • You can also follow the video guide which shows them in the order they are closest together.
  • If an item is not there, get all facilities to 5 stars and read all emails first.

The Custom Kid

Acquire your first piece of customization data.

Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. As you increase your Connection Level or basically your reputation, with a facility, they will give you Customization Data. This can be used to customize structures/items. For example, reaching Connection Level 3 with the “Distribution Center West of Capital Knot City” gives you the Bridges Guard: Macho customization. Because of how many missions you do throughout the game, you’ll get it automatically early on.

Soak and sigh

Take your first hot spring bath.

There are 7 Hot Springs Locations in total, but for this you just need to find any one of them. They get marked on the map when you’ve been nearby. Walk into a hot spring and press Circle to sit down. Again press circle to stand up and pop the trophy.

One such hot spring bath is found in Central Region, south-west of “Film Director”.

Pathfinder

Help porters through a MULE or terrorist area for the first time.

First it’s recommended you unlock the Non-Lethal Assault Rifle Lv. 1. You get it automatically from Story Episode 4 [Order No. 41]. This cannot be missed. It’s not mandatory to get the trophy but makes it a bit easier (alternatively, using just your fists works too).

Now go to a MULE Camp in Central Region and stun all the enemies there. MULE camps are marked on the world map by orange outlines. They contain enemies that try to steal your cargo and hunt after you.

To get the trophy you must stun all enemies in a single camp. When done correctly, there will also be a text prompt in the bottom left “Porters will temporarily be able to traverse this area”. Make sure you really stun every single one of them. Use the scanner (R1) to locate the enemies when they’re hiding. The camp just south of Lake Knot City is recommended for this. It has very few enemies and no reinforcements driving around on trucks.

The reason you should use the Assault Rifle is because it makes knockouts fairly easy. The Bola Gun is not recommended as it only traps soldiers with a rope (doesn’t really “stun” them) and they break free after a few seconds. Alternatively, ramming them with vehicles (truck / trike) works too and will instantly stun them! Or you can use your bare hands to strike them or throw cargo for instant knockouts.

Also, if you use the Non-Lethal Assault Rifle, make sure you switch to rubber bullets. Hold D-Pad to the Right  to open the weapon wheel and press Triangle on the weapon to switch ammo type.

You can change the difficulty to “very easy” in the game options to take more damage and stun the enemies more quickly. On hard they can take a lot more damage before they get stunned.

Great Deliverer

Reach Grade 60 in all delivery evaluation categories.

*Online Trophy*

You’ll get this automatically while going for “Best Beloved” which is to get 5 stars on all facilities.

There are 5 delivery categories: Condition, Quantity, Miscellaneous, Time, Bridge-Link.

Each mission is assigned 1 category. Then at the end of the mission, you gain XP for that category.

However, Bridge-Link is special. It’s online-only and rather than being a delivery category it’s simply your “Bridge Grade” that increases when other players give you likes. This “Bridge-Link” is mandatory for the trophy and the reason this is an online trophy. Make sure you are connected to the Death Stranding servers.

On the mission rewards screen you must get to level 60 in all categories.

God Particle Go-Getter

Find Higgs’s home.

Higg’s home is located in Central Region, inside Peter Englert’s facility. This facility is directly west of Lake Knot City. You must have beaten Story Episode 9 before the door to Peter Englert’s facility opens up. At any point after Episode 9 and still possible after story, you can go inside Peter Englert’s facility to get the trophy.

Sleep Tight, Little BB

Soothe a crying BB and stop the crying for the first time.

The easiest way to make BB cry is to fall over. Just run down a hill and trip over some rocks, so that Sam lands on his chest (where BB is attached). BB’s container will start to glow red and you’ll hear it crying.

Now hold L1 > press  D-Pad down  > Square to Soothe BB > slowly move the controller up and down > this will rock BB up and down and after a few seconds it stops crying which pops the trophy.

I Couldn’t Hold it In!

Pee outside for the first time.

While in the wilderness, hold D-Pad Right , select “Urinate” function. Then press L2 to aim and R2 to start peeing. This instantly unlocks the trophy. It even marks the spot with a mushroom that other online players can see. It won’t unlock the trophy if you use the toilet in Sam’s private room.

Soothing Sounds

Use the music player for the first time.

You unlock the music player at the start of Act 2 (Order No. 4). In Sam’s private room, interact with the Map/Information on the wall (this is a mandatory story step and unmissable). There you can choose the “Music Player” from the menu under Orders / Data. Play any song to get the trophy. Of course you can still do this later at any time when visiting Sam’s private room.
