Infinity Ward responds to unfounded rumors. Infinity Ward has announced that they are not currently working on lootboxes for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
Joel Emslie, head of art at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has returned to Reddit to clear some rumors about the game, “There is still misinformation about Modern Warfare. What I can say right now is that we are definitely NOT working on any kind of supply drop or a loot box system. Functional things are also unlocked via gameplay. Stay informed, we are planning to release more information this week. ”
In September he already posted a message on Reddit regarding rumors surrounding the game. In it he reported that there was news about the game that is both true and wrong. Emslie asks the Reddit users if they want to focus on the news that is actually the truth and not the news of “poorly informed people who want to make a name for themselves by spreading half-heartedly rioting rumors,” said Emslie.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be released on October 25 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
